I hope to make a road trip to Atlanta next year to watch the Rowdies take down the 'Backs, and to return to a few of my old stomping grounds such as the Brewhouse. Should be a good time!

I'd like to see a group of Ultras and other Strikers fans make it to ATL this year. Me and my brother drove up last summer to see Marlins/Braves and Rome Braves/Greensboro Grasshoppers games, then caught MFC-Rowdies on the return leg. It was a blast(and tickets to Six Flags Over Georgia are only like 30 bucks lol) and we're thinking about going back for Strikers-Silverbacks this year.

Free Beer! We prefer Tecate for the games. Thanks in advance.

Shouldn't you hope to get a little bit better beer this season. maybe one of the fine local brews like sweetwater, terrapin, red brick or jailhouse. all are better then tecate. And a local brewery would be a great asset in getting the word out and helping bring new people to the games.

I love a nice microbrew, I'm into homebrewing also. But for tailgate in the hot sun I tend to reach for a 'lawnmower beer'. Plus the team prefers us to have cans in the parking lot.

I don't drink, and thus don't don't know how good it is/was, but the Ruckus (ugh; that name still gives me "bitter beer face" :D) had Red Dog as their shirt front sponsor their first year, and possibly the second (at least until the team was turned back into the the league). I wouldn't know the chances of getting that, or something similar.

    hello there!
So how are the fans getting along for the silverbacks upcoming season? I have never really gotten into local soccer but I want to make my way out to a few matches and I was wondering how the fan culture is surrouning the silverbacks.

I would say it is small but I am hoping that we, the curent fans, can hel'p grow the fanbase and fan experince. So come on down to Silverbacks Park and help make the Silverbacks game a place for the Atlanta soccer fans to be.

sounds good, ill def have to try to make it out to a few games, i hope the silverbacks can gain a big fan base, there are plenty of football fans in and around ATL just not enough who want to invest their time into local teams
