After an amazing win on Saturday, the next challenge is the Betzenberg. We probably need 9 points out of the next three games to keep pace with the other teams, but with two on the road, that will not be easy. Yet if the team can play more halves like the one on Saturday, who knows? Talk about the match here.

Well am hoping for a WIN but the red devils are just one of those outfits that you never know..they have massive potential and on a good day they can cripple any team:roll eyes:

LOL Naz, your humour is really remarkable. ;)

However, it's clear that we can expect a similar tough away game as it had been the case in Berlin (Cup). The hosts have been waiting for a win since 11 games (that's always a dangerous scenario) and are under huge pressure to get a result in order to leave the relegation zone ... nearby we often sucked at Betzenberg/Fritz-Walter stadium in the past (just remember last season's 0:3 after that incredible miss from Idrissou to score the 1:0 for us) and tend to face problems in away matches against bottom teams.

BUT: I'm travelling to this game on Saturday in order to enjoy the 6th win in my 6th match this season ... so be prepared for another 3 points. :))

What "other" teams? Bayern & Dortmund? I personally don't care about them ... and thus only look at Schalke, Bremen & Leverkusen (and a few teams behind them).

As Favre said, we have to take game after game instead of thinking about how many points we need out out of the next couple of games.

If we can win 1 game in the last 13 matches we will be in 4th spot, lol. Bremen and Leverkusen is just not good enough this season.

I think this will be a though match actually. But i think we will win 0-1 in a game with not many chances.

    I doubt that. ;)

I suppose we'll need around 60 points to finish 4th ... and a few more to reach spot 3. We'll see.

But don't forget that we still have to play them away ... so you never know what happens if we lose those games (and a few more). And don't forget H96.

We definitively have to be careful despite the comfortable current situation.

It's surely gonna be a lot tougher than the last home match vs Schalke ... especially after learning that Marco Reus obviously can't play. Without him, we have never won a game so far.

I'd be very content with this result. Score an early goal ... and then bunker it against the worst attack of the league. Unfortunately, you never know how a game developes. Just imagine they score early by a set-piece ... then you can expect them to bunker at home and catch us on the break.

As we know, a football game often isn't predictable (factors like tough luck, referee decisions, injuries etc. mustn't be disregarded). That makes it so interesting. Actually, I'd be rather sceptical ahead of this away game for some reasons ... however, my presence at stadium (together with 6,000 + x BMG fans) should be enough reason to believe in 3 points. :))

    Have a nice evening.

We better start thinking of wining games without 'reuse" in the starting line-up,its a sad reality:roll eyes:

Hopefully we can start with kaisersluatern,a win w.out reuse would be great mental boost for us:)

It seems that Marco will be able to play (thankfully), but Mike & Martin (Stranzl) can't make the trip.

Btw: Our last away win in Kaiserslautern occured in 1995.

    http://www.fussballdaten.de/vereine/1fckaiserslautern/borussiamoenchengladbach/

It's high time to repeat what we did in Munich & Stuttgart this season ... but my gut feeling tells me it's gonna be a very tough match for us (I'd be very content with a "dirty" 1:0 away win). They're without a win in 2012, we without a loss ... let's hope this series won't end tomorrow. After all, I'll be at Fritz-Walter-Stadion ... so this should be a good omen. :)

    Gute N8

PS: If you want to reach the Betzenberg stadium, you have to climb a decent hill starting from here:

And this stand will be almost completely in our hands tomorrow...

... hopefully enough inspiration & motivation for our team to respond to the hosts' expected tough fight (they are surely gonna run for their lives). :))

As much as i like to join the high praise for our offensive line-up and players..its about time someday talked about our solid D and players such as
" Tony Janschnke " the guy has been playing some serious solid football on a weekly basis. If he continues on this path he will get called up for the national team in the next couple of years and many clubs will come for him

Great result, i was fearful of this game..but seems like the guys now have the mental maturity and confidence to operate under the massive pressure that games like this generate..specially in the second half of the season where strong teams switch it up a notch or two:D

As for dante leaving for bayern..seems like its not a confirm yet..so who knows, maybe we would convince him to stay:confused:

I could understand him if he will change. His big dream is the WC in Brazil 2014 and the team is just rebuilding during the next 1-2 years. If you consider that only several players start through at Bayern he almost need to change after the season.

But in this case I'm really "selfish". He should also know what he has in Gladbach and that he has the chance to become a Gladbach legend with one more season here and playing European football. And hey it's the fault of the Brazilian management to not include him just yet!

Who cares about this right now? I don't.

Important is that we got the 3 points (6th victory in my 6th live game) and are 2nd in table now.

So seh'n Sieger aus, Shalalalala...!!! :)

Any news about Herrmann's injury? Hopefully nothing bad.

Btw: If the ********** Schweinsteiger wants to enjoy a "great" pitch, I advise him to play at Betzenberg stadium. :))

Fracture of the clavicula! :( Shocking news (he'll be out for about 6 weeks) ... I was hoping it would be "only" a concussion. Well, we paid a heavy price for this away win.

    Bonne nuit.

Concussion is worse. We had a former player, Ross Paule, for the Crew who lost his career via concussions--and was still not able to drive a car 3 years later (and may still be suffering the effects and it's been 6 years now). Then there's Sidney Crosby of the NHL Penguins who may never play again--at 24.

It's also better than a separated shoulder. I hoped for a simple clavicula fracture when I saw his injury.

I do have to tell this story though. I was captain of our "Sunday league" team. One of my players had broken his collar bone in a game and at the ER they had tocut his jersey off of him (and they were pretty new). Next time he was able to play, he come out wearing that jersey that his girlfriend had sewn up for him. But the seams did not quite match (and it was a jersey with big black and gold stripes). We called it his "Frankenstein jersey".
