After such huge win at the park and against hollywood and a perfect start to the ruckrund you may assume we should be able to win against VFB...but they have always played clever against us and in the past years the luckier side at most meetings,I'd be happy witha draw and wouldn't be surprised if the guys also appear a bit cautious and less explosive...normally after big wins such effect settles in.If we win tho and take it to Stuttgart with full force....Lucien favre has really mentally transformed this team into a very solid side and whatever he is doing behind closed doors is more like magic.A win against VFB would be something..but as I said I'd be very happy with a draw www.fotobahn.com
Very, very tough away game against an opponent that is damned to win in order to reduce the lag to the international spots ... but don't worry, I'm gonna attend this match next Sunday (together with thousands of Gladbach fans) ... so I see good chances that we'll be enjoying the 5th victory under my presence this season (even though we rarely managed to win in Stuttgart in the past). I'd be very satisfied with a draw as well, though ... therefore I predict our first away draw of the season. I bet that our team hasn't forgotten what happened at this stadium last season (highest defeat in our history, after all I forgot the exact result, thus I'm sure that our guys are keen on making up to the fans for the disaster from 2010. I couldnt catch the 3rd GATE either...just the replay,i think the live stream screwed up Anyway i totally expected a draw,VFB has been one of those teams..that somehow we have struggled against them..specially recent years ( like hoppnenheim)they have managed to win and they have been lucky against us..NOT TODAY! What a fairytale of a season.....am just happy to see a guy like fvare building everything from scratch and laying down the kind of foundation that had gone to sleep for decades here in gladbach...i hope he continues to positively awaken this GERMAN GIANT more and more every day..but truth b told..where would we be w.out rolls reus??? i mean favre deffo already has a few plans up his sleeve in order to balance the team once he has gone..but am not sure how much thats possible..specially now that the entire team is clicking under a certain discipline and seems if reus is taken out of that offensive triangle of us..the whole think may take a very very long time to repare..let alone replace as it is with reus right now...lets hope alex rink can pick up this load..he is no reus,not yet..but seems a good replacement! He has very strong competition in the NT. It could happen with a place in the team but more likely as 3rd goaly.
Won't change imo, there is SO much competition, at least 10 goalies all of a similar level, only topped by Neuer.

I'm back from Stuttgart since 22:50 o/c (this time by car, unfortunately I needed almost 1 hour from the stadium to the motorway due to the expected huge traffic jam) and managed to see the highlights on German sports channel DSF. From what I remember, we had soooo many promising counter-attacks to decide the game pretty early after the 1:0 (especially in the 2nd half) ... but well, you can't be always as clinical as it's been the case against Bayern. If we conceded the late equalizer, we'd have clearly lost 2 points tonight; thankfully our guys finally wrapped it up towards the end of the match with 2 perfect counters. Another impressive performance (strong defence despite the absence of captain Daems and dangerous counters as usual, nearby we were miles ahead of them in technical aspect and must have created about 9:2 scoring opportunities) against an opponent that badly needed to win ... so we can be very, very proud of this team! Btw: Many BMG fans couldn't order tickets for the guest section because it's been considered to be sold out ... so many of us had to buy tickets for the main stand (which are very expensive compared to main stand tix at Borussia-Park). The paradox thing is that some areas around & above the standing guest block looked empty ... whereas you could see lots of Gladbach supporters all over the main stand and other parts of the area behind one goal when we scored. Why didn't Borussia (I purchased my ticket via our homepage) sell us the cheaper tickets around the guest section? Really strange, isn't it? But well, I have to confess that the main stand in Stuttgart is damn huge and therefore worth to be attended. The new venue looks impressive, but the tickets are very expensive (€ 18 for standings, at Borussia-Park you pay € 13 ... and tickets for the main stand are about € 10 more expensive). After all, I didn't have to pay for parking my car near the stadium. Danke. LOL. you're really funny. Btw: MATS is the best of them (if you don't believe me, just have a look at the "Kicker" poll. I was expecting a big game, and I was not disappointed. The team is really enjoyable to watch. Last year, I was hoping Gladbach would win. This year I expect them to win. I thought the commentator's remarks about Reus' nickname being Woody Woodpecker was pretty humorous. I really hate to see him go. I was commenting on the game to my wife, and she said, "Weren't they terrible last year? What happened!" What a difference a year makes.
Great result! I'm just back from a weekend of cross-country skiing in the Harz mountains; every muscle hurts, but I feel great. And now I'm going to watch the game on fohlen.tv, and have two or three beers at my tub.
