I think Nairn's goal is going to be changed to a Barczuk OG.

I will say Naeher looked a lot better than Loyden did yesterday.

There is not a more exciting team in the league to watch than Reign.

I absolutely adore Fishlock in midfield shes a freaking bull out there. Rapinoe has an eye for goal and a penchant for the spectacular! So fun to watch. Kim Little is world class, so efficient and smart. Naho is a starter on this team she is by far to best option in the right side of the pitch. She has real quality. And I have even mentioned Syd and Bev who were relentless! This will be a fun season!

Who else has 8 world class players in their front 6 ???
Leroux, Rapinoe, Goebel, Little, Fishlock, Winters, Foxhoven, and Kawasumi.
Plus they have Dallstream as a late game reserve up top if needed, and Nogueira in the midfield.
Deines can replace Winters as a DM, if it ever came to that.
No one can touch Seattle's forwards and midfield. Not even FCKC at this point.

Seattle's only potential weakness is on defense.
But they're better there than they were a year ago, and have lots of depth there.

Yeah, because stats can't be changed after the game is over.

All matches are reviewed to make sure the stats are correct, and sometimes things get changed. One example that comes to mind from last season- when Leroux scored her hat trick, her first goal was initially credited to Noguiera, but was changed later to give the credit to Leroux. Another example- when Portland beat KC 4-3, Morgan was initially credited with 2 goals, but the second goal was later given to Long.

These are just two examples. I'm sure I can find more.

A foreigner was the best player in 3 out of the 4 games(Little/Reign, Angerer/Thorns & Losada/Flash). Does anybody think this trend will continue or is it just that the non NT domestic players have been a bit rusty from the lay off and will improve during the season?

I think no one touched the ball what-so-ever off the corner.

Those Flash jerseys don't look all that bad up close.
Too bad the web streams don't have that level of quality.
You never get close ups like that on the league's streams.

An admitted big Dunn fan and I was at the game tonight. Yes not a game she wants to remember but I found out earlier today that she was on a time limit and I found out it was 45-60 minutes and she went out at 61 I think. As a reminder just a week ago the uswnt said she was not fully recovered from an ankle injury so I too am not worried about this performance. I will give her a few games to get back in physical condition and to make an adjustment to the league. Plus they did not get the ball to her much and I was sitting a few rows up in behind the spirit bench and hear Parsons on several occasion telling them to get the ball to Dunn. More good things to come from her

But I was not crazy about the formation as it looked like a 4-2-3-1.

Harris proves me correct again, can't play high balls on the first goal. She's the shortest 5'9 guardian i've ever seen.

And I believe I read somewhere that Harris is no longer an allocated player.

This reminds me of somewhere where I heard it's harder to counter misinformation than it is for that misinformation to spread.

(In other words, no Harris is still allocated as is Yael Averbuch. It was an error in the Washington Spirit press release that those two were not listed as allocated, but it has since been fixed)

The Seattle Reign are BY FAR the #1 team in the POWER RANKINGS, after the first weekend.
Their play on the pitch can't be duplicated by any of the other teams.
That doesn't guarantee the championship, but they do look like the best team right now (after just one game).

Finally, we get to see Seattle look worthy of being called the "REIGN":

Portland will long ball them to death in the playoffs, even though they are the most dysfunctional star ridden team in the league again. Why?

    Morgan + Sinclar > Sydney + Goebel.

    Beverly Goebel* 67 0 0 2 1 0 0 0 1 1 1

I need proof she can score more than 5 goals in this league.

I've been saying all along in Seattle we created a monster, noteworthy of Lyon. Kobe & Tyreso. Much of the way of Fox news, there goes the 'fair & balanced' nwsl. Hope they go bankrupt(much like Tyreso)

So Kim Little starts for the Reign, Naho & Lisa Devanna doesn't. Raise of hands for who saw that coming. Completely screwed my Fantasy team up.

Shattering any faith I had left in the Breakers coaching staff for A) inability to recognize the weakness of the Reign formation and B) playing a 3 4 3 with Lisa Devanna coming late on the wing. Stupidest tactics I have seen from any NWSL team so far in both seasons.

This is why it's very important to choose each reserve player on your fantasy team, as if they're a starter as well.
That way if one of your starters doesn't play, then your reserve is hopefully an equal fill-in.

I dont recall who got Portand PotM...Angerer or Long I guess...but it should have been Emily Menges. What's her pro debut like. She gets a call at Georgetown saying Buehler is hurt, flies to Houston, starts and plays a solid 90 minutes helping earn a clean sheet. certainly above and beyond the call.
