The only problem with this article is the author talks about 23 "locks" on the team and then breaks them down position by position, but in his positions doesn't include goalkeepers, like Frei and Kovic.

So instead of 7 open spots on the roster, there are really only 4 or 5 (depending on how many goalkeeper locks there are, which the author doesn't address).

Overall, however, TFC is looking strong headed into the season, stronger than they ever have. They are thin at central forward however and Koevermans is 33, so that's something to be wary of.

Well aside from Frei and Kocic, TFC have no other GK to look to other than academy prospects http://www.torontofc.ca/news/2012/01/toronto-takes-41-preseason - but yes it is an oversight.

BTW hilarious incident in the Everton vs Man City Game

Bob Bradley can't work under those conditions--Al-Ahly is one of the teams that will provide a base of his players, and if the league postpones games, how will he do his job? Not to mention there will be reprisals for this and the violence will spiral even further out of control.

If the Quakes look lousy again by mid-season, maybe we see Bradley out there. Yallop has more than used up his nine lives and they've got a stadium to open next year.

Under the radar, but DC is pursuing Albanian forward Hamdi Salihi:

He's 28 and fits the poacher role that Davies took up last year. He's been pretty prolific in league play, plus he's got Europa League experience.

Interesting. Celtic and (moreso) Rangers were both after him this past transfer window.

    More on the WPS clusterf***:

    5 questions about WPS
Between the disrespect towards MLS from the previous USWNT generation and the shady behavior by some of the biggest names on the current WNT, they're actually quite lucky that almost no one cares enough about women's soccer to pay attention.

wait. who is answering those questions? it isn't clear from the article? is it the writer who is asking and then answering his own questions or is that an interview with somebody he just fails to name?

and the players of WPS are now free agents so the transfer deadline does not apply to them .... but hey, who cares about accuracy, it is only women's soccer i guess?
