If you want to make headway with MLS, we need an organized supporter group of 1000's of people. It should be based around the Railhawks' fans, but it needs to be statewide not localized.

Port City Firm. And I suspect until such time as MLS Carolinas is a thing, as opposed to a meeting some people are having once, these groups are all going to focus more on their own local teams rather than the hypothetical one.
Everyone should make plans to attend the Fan Forum and put in your two cents: "The Carolina RailHawks will host three key professional soccer leaders and facilitate an open discussion on the future of professional soccer in the Triangle. Mark Abbott, President of Major League Soccer and key decision maker on the MLS Expansion Committee, Aaron Davidson, Vice-President of Traffic Sports (RailHawks Owners), and David Downs, Commissioner of the North American Soccer League, will be participating. The events will take place on Thursday, April 12th." More info: http://www.carolinarailhawks.com/index.php?id=111&newsid=1944
More important than any organized SG, at this moment, is to get as many people to that April 12 meeting. For myself, I'll take the day off.
Yup. There are already four vibrant supporters' groups in the Carolinas, and more in the rest of the south. Let's let them see that. If you're not in the Triangle, arrange caravans and get here. If you are, there's no good reason to miss it. Let's do this thing.
