Yes. Allow Smalling and Jones to concentrate on their proper positions once Rio and Vida call it quits, and then let this guy be a nice backup for Rafa.

Or buy Seasman Coleman for 20 m, sell Rafael for 5 or loan and get Tony Hibbert to be backup for Coleman

Did you actually read the quotes?

It says he's probably going to leave if Moyes isnt sacked.

Woops, caught in the act. I just glanced at the headline :whistling:

That's a bummer. I remembered hearing good things about him when he was in the academy/reserves.

A few years of Moyes will kill our youth structure. Not talking about Vermijl's case in particular.

He has a bad record in bringing youth through at Everton, no former Everton young players anywhere despite lacking transfer funds, he was more fond of trying to bring in cheap players who would do a job, compare that to us and we can buy anyone and still the league are filled with our ex youth.
That was our objection when he was bringing Everton staff

Bebe scored a beauty this weekend. 8 goals in 23 league games, with a few beauties. Obviously will never recoup the 9 mill (well, maybe on Carvalho's transfer if Mendes is his agent) - but he may be carving some sort of career for himself in Portugal.

I'd sooner play him than watch Young constantly make mistakes with little to no upside.

Close, but not quite 30. Still surprised he's already 28.

I'm ok with that. It's not like he's going to get a chance here. We'd rather buy Leon Osman for 30 mill.

He didn't even feature last night in the reserves, mostly under 18 players. It's disappointing that Moyes doesn't take risks on players. Fergie did when he was young on the 92 class, which will probably never see someone doing that again.

Commentators and fans are complaining about no midfielder passing the ball forward, Petrucci would have been perfect playing the Giggs role that he played against Olympiakos alongside Carrick and have Fellaini do the dirty work.

I am so pissed about our youth situation.

Good luck to him then. I hope he does something there.

The comments by Moyes' old youth trainer were damning enough. I don't have much hope for the kids currently in the system, unless someone else comes in to replace Old Clueless.

as long as we have money youth will suffer. plain simple fact.

the same impatience people have with Moyes and winning is the same impatience that makes the transition to the first team extremely difficult now for the youngsters

I trully believe having a couple each season with first team involved at all times and get ticks here and there is doable for a big club. Bayern does it with Hojberg and a couple of others, Barca does it with Sergi, Jean Marie, a couple more, Roma does it with Romagnoli Dodo (even though he isn't from the club) but we haven't stuck and provided the platform for the youth to progress. If having a great loan is the only way to do it or being a great talent and having no options other than playing Januzaj then that won't lead and progress your youth team.

There has to be a rotation of power I guess you call it in a football club, once you see a declining player make money out of him and groom the next one. Have a couple of really experienced ones for guidance, but the whole freaking team is over 30!

Petrucci up against Derby Saturday let's hope he starts as they need to avoid relegation.

Tom Thorpe finished the 90. Petrucci came on in the 66th min, don't know how he played though.

Can Lawrence break to the first team squad?

Lawrence is a outside shot in a Cleverley sort of way.

Bebe scored another against Sporting today. 5 in his last 5 now. He has improved a fair bit now.
