It's less gamy than lamb but they tend to throw a bunch of cumin and clove in for flavor. It's somewhere in between cow and buffalo in terms of juciness. Haven't had any real cuts of camel.

Are there Jihad Joe (with removable suicide belt) toys that MickeyD's sells in the middle east?

Here's an update. The bill that outlaws toys on kids meals was approved by San Francisco's board of Supervisors by an 8 to 3 margin, which means that they have enough votes to override a veto planned by Mayor Gavin Newsom.

Funny that in the wacky world of San Francisco politics, California's Lieutenant Governor Elect Gavin Newson is the voice of Libertarianism.

Speaking of Newsom, his election win is one of the interesting stories here in California.

In 2008 he was left for dead, after opponents of gay marriage ran ads of him looking like a condescending pompous asshole in the Keith Olbermann mold. Regardless of where people stood on gay marriage, the general consensus was that Newsom's attitude and behavior was detrimental to the cause.

Two years later, Newson -after a campaign in which he presented a much more charming persona- wins the Democratic nomination for Lieutenant Governor, and then easily wins the general election. He once again looks as one of the rising stars in the State's Democratic party.

My brother-in-law used to chef at a restaurant Newsom owns in ********** Valley. Said he was a total shitbag, although he does have that charming persona when he needs it.

And now San Fran wants to outlaw circumcision. They must smoke a lot California's #1 cash crop in that town.

I'm learning that there are lots of crazies in San Francisco, and yes, the aroma of the good weed is ever present around town. But even so, I doubt something like this would have a chance to pass.

This is some fringe loony with a petition, not the Board of Supervisors or anything. No way in hell it would happen, and is of questionable legality anyway in terms of religious freedom.

Re: San Francisco Law Curbs McDonalds Happy Meal Toys

Ironically (though probably only ironic like rain on your wedding day ;)) - that's the city where I received mine. Almost 47 years later, they try to outlaw it. Damn glad they didn't consider it a bad thing all those years ago.

I can almost see making it be a default being discouraged, but it should be perfectly fine to do it as an electable procedure. It's one I would elect as a parent.
I wonder (as in many things trying to be made illegal lately) how much of this kind of crap is pushed by insurance companies trying to save a buck instead of anything reality-based.

based on the post above, it's nothing at all, please disregard :)

It's not even remotely a necessary procedure. We didn't have my son circumcised, didn't see the point in some archaic custom that originated out of a religion we're not a part of. Plus I was just thinking of his future, as not being circumcised is supposed to increase sexual pleasure significantly....

    But outlawing it? ********ing stupid.

Talking to a lot of women with, let's say oral fixations, over the years, I consider it a necessity :) They seem to have a definite preference.
Modern younger girls may be easier, or may not care, I don't know - but women my age seem to have a definite preference.
If my parents had left me with something ladies are unlikely (or less likely) to want to pleasure orally, I would kill them in their sleep ;)

Yeah, right. I used to be always told the exact opposite. Women say stuff like that to get you to spend money on them. :D

hahah, I'm not dumb enough to believe the ones I was actually with, you're right there, but from friends, etc.

of course, many ladies my age have never seen one un-c'd anyway.

Yeah, it's a lot more common nowadays, at least in hippie-infested Norcal.

I remember the first time I saw an uncircumcised one was at camp as a kid on a little black kid, I was horribly confused, didn't know our differences extended that far.;) Honestly had no idea the rest of us had been, uh, altered.

As a woman of approximately your age, I'm actually indifferent. There are good and bad features of each, which I will not expand on what with this being a family website and all.

I've never understood why in this day and age anyone would willingly opt to mutilate their son under some odd, archaic pretense. Didn't have my son snipped. Of course, my GF also caught him herself in the bathroom before the midwife showed up. :) And I'm dirty Euro Trash, so I guess not really representative...

It was a moot argument because I'm snipped, but I told my wife that I wouldn't allow our son to get circ'd if we had one. She stands on the grounds that he would look weird and get made fun of in school; I don't her to guys can easily diffuse that by pointing out that the other guys were checking out his junk.

Don't be mutilating kids' genitals. WARNING: Anti-religion rant ahead...

If we're all created in God's image, why are we immediately carving on our kids the second they're born? It's bullshit. Knock it off.

I'm snipped, but it had nothing at all to do with religion... I'm glad I was.
