Sorry, but that's not how it came across. The two previous posts from you and one from sec123 focused on recruiting as the reason UVa plays the style it does. UVa is going after many of the same players other programs go after. IMO, the difference in style is coaching.
I think Steve has done a great job and would love to read some of his insights on players. Especially new recruits and their potential. I am not sure he goes after the same players as other good programs and may prefer lesser lights with strong basics he can work with. Sometimes really successful young players are not willing to change their habits and the ones toilimg away in the shadows are the superstars of tomorrow.
The game against Georgetown ended 1:1. Goals from Doniak (Colaprico's assist) and Corboz. This is the third tie for UVa this spring after 0:0 against Florida and 1-1 against the Washington Spirit.
It's Spring season. Scores and players are irrelevant. I bet Virginia doesn't have many ties in the Fall.
They can indicate some things. For example how are they dealing with their defensive shortcomings which I think they're doing quite well. And goal for Doniak is important because she's coming back from injury so it's nice to see her doing well. Of course what will happen in the fall will be completely different story since the team will look quite different with new players coming in.

Today's exhibition game against MSU ended 2:1 for UVa. UVa's goals: Torres (Brian), Sonnett (Torres). Final exhibition Monday against VCU (7PM) at Klöckner
The last preseason game with a much better result: 5:0 victory over VCU without Brian (who's currently with USWNT). Nice to see the new defenders involved in the attack. Scoring Summary 1. UVa. As an aside, I was watching a game at UVA stadium a couple years ago and was recording my daughter. Security came up and said I could not record. I've never been treated that way in any stadium before.
Hoos rolling again! Yes, they are Scoring Summary 1. UVa. Makenzy Doniak 1 (Morgan Brian 1) 41' 2. UVa. Kaili Torres 1 (Morgan Brian 2) 57' 3. UVa. Alexis Shaffer 1 (unassisted) 60' Stats Summary Shots: UVa 26, Mar 1 Corners: UVa 9, Mar 1 Saves: UVa 0, Mar 6 Fouls: UVa 2, Mar 4 Doniak-Brian combo is working again and Torres is in great form after coming back from injury as she scored in every game so far. This was their starting line-up.
Good thing (for UVa) that Makenzy returned earlier from World Cup. There are new players, new starting XI, I guess tactics and positions might change a little bit as well, you need every time you can get to gel into the system. I remember how Anson complained how the U20WC absences hurt UNC preparations and season in 2012. Btw Moe will have quite hard time to accomodate full US team qualifications, last year academics and Hoos season. Great gifs lunatica! Dzieki!
