I think that the space city blue will definitely be more prominent than in any of the designs we're looking at here. There's probably a good chance of away jersey being predominantly blue and we have only one mockup here (away 7) that does that.

    My prediction:
Home: Striped orange/black or solid orange/black highlights.
    Away: Solid blue/black highlights

    I agree with you.
This is a summer league after all.
    I like Away 7 and Home 7.
Did anybody listen to the song I posted?

I hope that our kits are half as nice as the ones you've designed, Dante.

Away #7 would look much better if DYNAMO were black, outlined in orange. As it stands now, the White name blends into the rest of the jeresy too much.

I agree. Before finalizing it, I experimented with the text color/outline, and the final result was the only one that wasn't visually jarring to me so I stuck with it. By the way guys, thanks for the comments. I'm beyond flattered by the results. Dante, fantastic job amigo. You and your work are simply class.

Horrorshow, your work is top notch. You and Dante have some skills.
So in the spirit of second guessing everything with this franchise, when the real kit is announced, shouldn't we add it to the poll here and see if it wins the fan vote? Why do I sense the "experts" are putting together something kind of lame?

So who gets a jersey first? Dynamo or Red Bulls? Maybe a big announcement on the same day?

Isn't Friday supposed to be the day Adidas unveils new uniforms? I would think Dynamo and all others will be announced Friday, and I bet they will have some kind of mockup of Red Bulls at least. I was watching Champions League the other day and Arsenal and they have some very cool looking uniforms - with gold numbering. That would be cool if the Dynamo could do that - gold numbering.

right on. i really like the idea of using the black as the primary away jersey, but then using the argentina type kit as an alternate like when they play united or a team with a dark colored home kit

Just like Borussia Dortmund would be great. Just replace yellow with orange and keep the black.

I'm really impressed with Home 6, and I positively love Away 7. I have always been a big fan of Argentina, and the similarities are sweet!

Just for reference, remember what the inaugural MLS jerseys looked like in 1996 - no, really:

It seems that teams ought to find something nice and stick with it (not that anything looked nice back in 1996).

I would like to see us pick something and go with it for a while 5-10 years and really build our brand, whatever we decide to finally go with. Please don't change it every year.

Here's a look at some of the good stuff that's been dropped by other teams, that I wish we had back in the league.

Chicago - I like the blue stripe (looks like the old White Sox)

DC - How can you go wrong with shorts like that (and I like the wider stripes)

It's funny how these teams have the best (with Dallas) kits currently, but IMHO have better kits in their history.

The mullet survived long after the 80s in much of the country. Judging by the Argie soccer on FSC, it's apparently still doing quite well there.
