There were two video games I used to play: In 1986/87 "Zaxxon" and in 1994/95 "System Shock". Both were amazing for its times. But I never got into video games that much. "Ego shooting" games give me headaches after about 30 minutes.

Pong rocks! Although even when I was a kid it was already VERY retro to play Pong. I don't envy DF for those electronic games, though - that's too old school even for me, and I have an Atari 2600 emulator installed on my computer.
We had to start somewhere. I don't have my original 70's pong machine but I do still have my hand held (Mattel Electronics) Soccer, Football 2, and Hockey games. All of them work great! I haven't broken out the Atari 2600 in a long time.
I found a great Dos emulator for my Mac, so now I am hooked playing Red Alert, the Settlers 2, Commander Keen, ...
I'm not surprised. Studies have shown that girls outperform guys when it comes to spatial logic. No wonder most of the new age architecture is designed by women. Any Prince of Persia fans here? I could never do the levels without the cheat codes.
The highest ranked Tetris players are mostly men, though : http://www.twingalaxies.com/index.aspx?c=22&pi=17&gi=3967&vi=392 Have PoP on NES, never been a huge fan, though.
Ah, I thought you meant a mac-specific emulator. DOSbox is pretty much THE DOS emulator out there, it's also used by the major game developers if they re-release their old DOS games. Using it together with D-Fend makes it doubly awesome, but I don't know if D-Fend works on macs.
Hey, not that I doubt you, but 125 million copies of Tetris sold seems too high a figure. I would maybe understand if you siad 125 million people played the game. But 125 million have bought it, then nearly twice or thrice that number would have played it. Seems a very large number to me. Considering the fact that after a certain age, the game wouldn't elicit much interest. Urban myth
Tetris is still sold: http://www.tetris.com/ http://www.time.com/time/arts/article/0,8599,1902950,00.html The sales don't come from the Game Boy version alone of course - Tetris has been released on pretty much EVERY system, ever - GB, NES, SNES, Sega consoles, PC, Amiga, Atari... the GB version sold 35 million copies, second best selling video game of all time, the NES version sold 5,6 million copies. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_video_game_franchises
The NES version is hot. These little Russians after every level up Godlike in 2 players mode. But 2d get boring after a while. the real thing on my 386er was BLOCKOUT. http://www.blockout.de/ rox
