I don't play video games at all, but I do enjoy watching Lets Plays on YouTube (weird, I know).

Besides all the Call of Duty games, I am currently watching/enjoying Dragon Age: Origins. Most of these games are on multiple platforms.

Not sure if thats what you want, but what kind of games do you like?

    I'm a PS3 fangirl. :)

I mostly just have time to play a game or two of FIFA 11. But Red Dead Redemption is awesome, and I can't wait to get Gran Turismo 5. I'm also a big GTA fan.

I'm a big time nerd for one game and one game only. Team Fortress 2 on PC. Holy cow I'm addicted to that game.

I have FIFA 10 on 360, but I just don't have the patience it requires. I'd rather run around and shoot people. haha

Check out some of the movies for the different classes in TF2. Funny stuff. Fun game.

Ha I forgot I created this thread. It's good to see some replies.
Yeah I've seen most of those. My favorites are the Engineer, Heavy, and Spy. I've thought about getting into TF2, but have been warned by people that I'm too late, and everyone is so good it's hard for newcomers to adjust. Is this true?

I'm not looking for anything in particular just a place on the forum where gamers can talk about games. Curious though. Why is it you like to watch the games, but not play them?

By the way my PSN ID is...Pattyscow (surprise) if anyone wishes to add me feel free to.

Has anyone played Assasins Creed: Brotherhood? I'm trying to get some opinions before I purchase it.

Because its free to watch on YouTube and not free to buy/play them.

But I too like talking about video games, so please continue. I'll post more of my own thoughts when I get home tonight.

Seeing as I don't have a gaming console (Wii doesn't really count!), my gaming is done on my PC or iPhone. I'm a big fan of Supreme Commander and X-Com: UFO Defense, as well as the occasional game of Transport Tycoon Deluxe (download it free here). Angry Birds is also fun. I used to game a lot when I was younger. Now I'm an "adult" or something and I have other responsibilities like working and raising two kids. Not a whole lot of room for gaming outside of the occasional Wii Sports session with my sons nowadays...sometimes the wife will even join in :D the Wii is like the boardgame equivalent for video games, and I'm not talking about Axis and Allies or anything...more like, uh, Candy Land. Which makes it fun for kids.

I'm a big fan of Civ, is Supreme Commander better than that? Have you picked Utah and conquered North America?

Edit: oops I got SC confused with Shattered Union.

I'm the evil anti-gamer. I'm seriously considering buying a Playstation 3 this year, but only because I think it's the smart choice for a high quality BluRay player and for streaming Netflix to my TV. My 12-year-old son is going to be FURIOUS that I don't allow video games on it. It will just sit there taunting him.

Yeah, I like the Spy vid the most.

Never say never. TF2 is technical, but at the same time it is hilarious in such a way that keeps you interested and motivated to get better. Entertaining, to say the least.

The big thing on the game now is trading weapons and hats with other players. There was a time when there was no trading, and the only way to get different hats (yes, hats that only serve aesthetic purposes--no other benefit) was to craft them using different materials or find the hat/weapon due to a "drop", which is completely random.

Valve has now introduced the buying and trading of items, and there is the introduction of the Unusual Hat, which literally sells anywhere from 50-300 dollars. Yes, real cash. People are starting to call it Trade Fortress 2, because the focus is shifting more to rare Hats and their perceived value, which is completely made up by the players. People are actually paying/trading for pixels. Valve took a 20 dollar one-time payment game, and turned it into a money pit by introducing the TF2 Hat market and the Mann Co. store, where more purchases can be made to assist in trading.

It's a weird thing, running around shooting people while wearing a dope hat...and then buying/trading in the Hat market. Strange, indeed. Yet, I've made a good amount of cold hard cash by remaining patient and understanding what's hot and what's not, buying low and selling high. My Paypal account is stacked because of a video game...

The Demo is who I play with. Check out his video--it's hilarious.

I haven't played Civ, but from what I understand, I probably should. I'm a big fan of strategy games. Supreme Commander is the best macro-RTS I have ever played. I'm actually playing the Total War Shogun 2 demo right now (free on Steam) and it's pretty sweet.

On a sidenote, I've started a gaming blog, if anyone is interested: demogamer.blogspot.com. I deal primarily with demos on PC and Wii, at least until I can afford an Xbox and PS3.
