Espinoza becomes the first player in the 100-year history of the US Open Cup to win the Open Cup (2012 US Open Cup with Sporting Kansas City) AND the FA Cup in consecutive seasons. He joins Freddie Ljundberg (2002 FA Cup with Arsenal, 2009 US Open Cup with Seattle Sounders) as the only player to win both the FA Cup and US Open Cup in a career. John Harkes joins those two players as the only ones to play in both finals (won the 1996 US Open Cup for DC United and lost the 1993 FA Cup Final with Sheffield United). Also, Kasey Keller won 3 US Open Cups with Seattle Sounders FC (with Ljundberg in 2009) and also lifted the League Cup with Leicester City.
