Taça de Portugal has only one Liga Honra representative after the 5th round has been completed, Varzim . In the process it eliminated the surviving div III sole representative. It wasn't easy even playing at home, Varzim lost a player from minute 20. It took the over-time to get to the final score of 3-1 over Sertanense.

Varzim-Rio Ave 0-3. Relegation seems to be a real possibility. This loss costed the coach Horácio Gonçalves his job.

    V. Guimarães-Varzim, 0-0.

Diamantino Miranda is the new coach , replacing Horácio.

Hopes to do well vs Benfica in the cup.

Varzim-Vizela, 3-2 (3-0 at the half-time ) What appeared to be a shoot out in the first half turned into a near draw in the second half, but the locals survived with all three points.

Has anyone with the city or the club figured out what they're gonna do with the stadium situation yet? I know they've been at it for a while now. I really hope they do something awesome with the project because it would definitely make the city even more beautiful then it is already. It's my fav beach town in the north, so I'm hoping for big things.

    Fireworks !!!
    PORTIMONENSE – VARZIM, 0-4.
Chico scored the two first half goals, and Roberto copied the feat in the second half.

    Varzim 0-0 Vizela .
The locals dominated the game , but weren't capable of overcome a well organized defensive tactic put up by the visitors.

Rui Dias é o novo treinador do Varzim, substituindo Diamantino Miranda. O contrato será válido até ao fim da temporada.

After a successful season w/ Olivais e Moscavide and a not so successful spell in Bulagaria, the young coach Rui Dias will take over Varzim's sidelines

They're an exciting team to watch. Though they're in 12th place, with Arouca on top of the standings. A lot of young talent.

:(A sad day for Varzim today and for myself as Varzim is my hometown club that I support.

They beat Oliveirense but Covilha scored a late winner against Aves.

That means Fatima and Varzim go down while Covilha maintains their place in Liga Orangina by the skin of their teeth.
