Well, Guvenisik would only have a chance if Lenny was banged up enough at the end of DC enough to keep him from starting.

But Garza makes sense in that Moreno has started twice and is only usually good for 60ish minutes even then, Khari has gone 180, so Baca and Cronin are poised to take the middle. That leaves both wing positions to fill. Dawkins has played like 170 minutes in the last two matches, ,so is probably likely to be rested. Chavez sshould be good to go. So his choices in midfield to keep players fresh is either Garza or Moreno, and given Vancouver's anemic attack and Moreno not being the guy I would want to start 3 times in 1 week, I think you can make a good case for him in this situation.

And thats my logic on this one. Id like to keep Moreno, Khari and Dawkins from logging major minutes, and Garza is the best option to get those minutes. Id like to see more rotation on the back line, we just dont have the bodies to do it right now.

Better for us to stay healthy by keeping guys fresh, we have the depth to keep winning while doing it.

Geez, the lineup code doesn't work anymore, boooooooo.

    ---------Wondo Lenhart
    Baca Cronin Khari Chavez
    Corrales Morrow Jason Beita
    ------------Busch

seems reasonable, if Dawkins needs rest.
I don't really want to see new guys against a division rival when we are so deep.

Corrales was a little banged up so he may sit. Lurking is correct about Khari so he probably sits...

    We may could see...

    ...Wondo, Sercan
    Garza, Baca, Cronin, Chavez
    Morrow, Hernandez, Ike, Beita
    Busch

    Just a thought...

    Go Quakes...

Looks like a better line up then the one that took the field on Wed. (except maybe Sercan for Lenny)

i like the idea of starting garza & sercan. they'd be pumped to get the start (they'll play really hard) and if they falter we sub in our "hitters" with lenhart & dawkins. we've proven that we can score late so starting these two doesn't have much of a downside especially since garza's probably going to play better defense than dawkins.

should be really fun game and another quakes win!

I'm not sure Ike will start given they want him to resolve a lingering hamstring.

I love joe, but i hope he plays like he did versus the Crew last weekend. He had one great save, but much of the time he was flat-footed and beat, didn't even get a hand up. If not for the ref and an offside call, the crew should have won; they had a shooting gallery but just couldn't score.

Vancouver played better than the 3-1 score line against us couple weeks ago. I don't think this is a cake walk esp with the hectic schedule this week.
