I can't say I am a supporter but I definitely enjoy seeing them play. It will be interesting also if they ever do complete that unfinished new stadium.
What is weird in Spain is that everyone has two teams they support. It's either Real Madrid or Barcelona and then maybe they have another team they support. I have never witnessed that in any other country. You will have to go to a site dedicated to Valencia if you want to find fans to chat with.
how much did getting rid of Villa and Silva help in terms of knocking some of the debt off the books?
Not too much. The debt was like 300 million euros. Selling the Mestalla would help a lot. Then we could develop the New Mestalla and pay off our debt. Hopefully soon.
Yes, we got ********ed by the current crisis, the management was counting on selling the old Mestalla to pay the new stadium, but the building industry plummeted with the crisis and the terrains could not be sold.
Please keep everyone updated as I know many people will be curious if the situation gradually gets better so that the construction can continue and eventually be completed.
The 2018 World Cup would have been a boon to Valencia as the Spanish gov't would have given the city some money to finish the stadium. Too bad ...
Damn this season has been disappointing. Real disappointed with Ever Banega not being a regular part of the XI. We should move to the 2010-2011 season thread.
Very disappointing. The refs certainly helped Madrid yesterday ... But Unai also played not to lose, which is annoying.
i dont end up watching la liga much, but when i have i have enjoyed watching valencia, think they are my spanish team surprised there is not much of a following on here tho, i mean even after the sales plenty of success this year!
Here you have a fan of Valencia cf!!! I´m spanish, so I´m glad to see that there are another international supporters of my team!! regards from Valencia...
Another Valencia CF supporter here! They are my main club for Europe, I also support my hometown clubs in Korea and Canada, but I have loved watching Valencia play for the last 10 years. This is my first foray into soccer forums, and I'll be looking for more Valencia websites too!
I became a fan when Aimar signed from River. Been a fan ever since. I'm excited to see Rodrigo De Paul at Valencia.
They looked impressive against Atletico, Real and Barca this season. Definitely top 4 material. First time in years I'm actually seeking out when Valencia games are on TV.
I became a fan when Aimar was signed from River Plate. I followed them closely when he was there. Those were some great times. I'm slowly getting back into following them now how do you guys rate Santi Mina? I hear good things about him. I'm a fan of Rodrigo De Paul too I guess he didn't work out too well since they sold him to Udinese. My main team to support is Internazionale Milano.
Ha just realized I posted to this thread last season. But added some updates to me being an Valencia fan.
I am back after long delay. I have definitely grown from a casual observer to a full blown Valencia supporter since the early days of this thread. I finally get to attend my first 2 matches this November when I see them play one La Liga match followed by their Champions League match vs Young Boys. I can't wait!!
