Heard it on the radio Gouldie, all the flak he's taken lately has got to hurt, as far as I'm concerned he's certainly not the only player who's underperformed this season. The way things stand at the moment he couldn't score a more important goal for us, time for the boo boys to lay off methinks.

The future's starting to look much brighter now, well done you Irons :D

    I'm over here!
I watched the game and we were fantastic. As soon as I saw the line up I knew what Curbs had done. He put out, as close as he could, the team that got us promoted. I'm sure the message was something like "You lot got us here, now go out and prove that we deserve to be here" and they did.

Bowyer was all over the place, I'm sure he played a one two with himself on more than one occasion. NRC was at his best, box to box and fired up and well supported by Mullins. Konchesky was solid and lively, Harewood was strong, fast and effective, Collins and Anton dealt with some very talented strikers very efficiently. (The stats show that the Mancs had 17 attempts on goal but probably 15 of them were from 20+ yards out, 'cos they weren't allowed any nearer. Robert Green was wide awake and truely Prem class.

It was the sort of performance that will have the Mancs blaming us for stopping them from winning the title AGAIN!

I'm sure we will go into the weekend v Fulham with fresh enthusiasm.

    Best Banner - approx 10ft x 6ft - "THANKS PARDS"

Best Chant - "We've got the best Ferdinand"

I'm so, so proud of our team today.

    UP THE HAMMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For weeks I thought this fixture was at OT for some reason.

I was over the moon when I found out it was at UP!!!:D

I saw it and wasn't that impressed TBH. I saw a noticable improvement in effort from most of our players, including NRC, but I wouldn't go as far as to say he was at his best or even that our troubles with him are over.

During the interview he looked a bit miffed and not really bothered about his goal or getting Man of the Match. He seemed more concerned with letting everyone know how hard it's been for him and that he dedicates his goal to 'the gaffer' Pardew. The interviewer had to remind him it should be 'ex-gaffer' as he was walking away into the dressing room. What was all that about?

Also after the final whistle other players were congratulating him and trying to give him words of encouragement (the way they usually do) but he just stayed straight faced and didn't seem to be taking any of it in.

To me this isn't the response of a committed man. I know he's had a tough time but you reap what you sow in this game. What we really need to see from him is a sign that he wants to play for us and isn't just looking to impress other clubs into buying him.

Great result BTW and totally unexpected by me. I was gunning for a 0-0!!

Once again I watched the game with my Manc friend (and step-father-in-law) and he was left baffled by the result. The ref had a shocker I thought, bad decisions given both ways and then trying to make amends by issuing another bad decision.

But we got the points and that's all that matters. Important points as well as the other teams around us in the league have started winning.

Fantastic result, listened to the last 30 minutes on Sattelie Radio in the car, the last 15 minutes were torture!

Great result for the boys, NRC and Curbs.

'scuse me Tony, let's not resurrect this again eh?;)

Besides, if I remember rightly, you and ATL voted against, I was for and Stomper seemed undecided (in his own unique brand of sophistication). If we include Blaine as a yes (on the assumption that he believes in his own existence) then we are even.

You're right Stomps, I am an old codger.
I wonder how else Tony could think that we could beat Manure without "outside help".
To borrow a phrase from Capt Mainwairing "Stupid boy".

Stomper, I assume "Cogitat" is your made up Latin word to describe Blaine...?

But yes of course God can believe in his own existence. Do you believe in yours? Apart from anything else I am counting on his vote to keep the scores even. :)

Yes that's the only way a team like ours with our current form can beat ManU, through divine intervention. Surely this victory alone is proof of God's existence.;)

Blaine aren't you offended at the lack of belief in your existence on this board?

Perfectly good latin verb (Cogitare: to think). It means He thinks therefore he is, Can he truly believe in what he is? I mean I believe I'm human but could be a figment of the fevered imagination of some insane deity (Sorry Blaine)
It could be that Blaine only thinks he's God and emails himself. It could be he thinks he's a teacup. Both posibilities are equally possible.

I might have to bring Deano back early for you to truly believe.

Am I offended. Naaaaaaa. Even my kids don't listen to me.
