Thought I would get in before the traitor!

    My Team would be:

    Big Al
    O' Brien, Reid, Faye, George
    Faubert, Diop, Nolan, Noble, Collison
    Carew

Henri can have a rest, assuming Taylor is not fit.

Henri's knee is messed up and will be out for awhile. Taylor also wont play Monday. Looks like Sears and Collison will both be in the starting eleven. Or Baldock will be out there depending on the formation. Cant drop points two games in a row.

Did the chicken dance in class when I saw that Nolan got a goal. Kids looked at me kind of odd but then again, they are 7th graders so that is normal.

Ill take 1-0 even though we have had nearly no offensive pressure in the final third. Solid defensively.

3 points and moving on! It was a defensive game and the rain sure didn't help. I am taking the 3 points and moving on to Leicester.

Yes, Leicester who have just fired Sven. Good referee tonight, Noble and Faye having good games though defense all round looked solid. Thanks for the website Claret.

Yes, a win is good...but what a lousy game and a very poor performance by the Hammers, except for Nolan's goal.
I know we have several key injuries, but we were on the back foot for the whole game, and Brighton were much quicker on the ball. Fortunately, they couldn't shoot, and our defence did work hard.
We really didn't look like scoring; they had 62% of possession, and 11 corners to our 2. Collison had a poor outing; maybe he's not 100%.And poor Carew was totally on his own for the entire first half.
Baldock should have come on much earlier, as he (and Sears) brought needed speed to the team.
I can only hope that future performances will be much better than this.

Seems we´re lacking midfield at the moment and seems Nolan suffers from it. It´s not too often I´ve been able to see a match myself lately so can´t really say much more but seems he makes good & clever runs but no one feeds him. We haven´t got a creative midfielder and besides that Noble and Collison are not there yet.

Merde is much better than all the last seasons and is looking more at ease playing in this position. But that ain´t much is it?

Something to learn from this match: Brighton´s way of challenging the defender and winning corners.
