The US MNT plays Brazil in a friendly at FedEx field. Hopefully the team that emasculated Scotland 5-1 shows up, not the team that lost 4-0 to Spain last year.

Since the only things from Brazil are soccer players and samba dancers, the Brazilian team is composed of the following:

    ------------------------------Gisele Bunchen---------------------------------
    --Alessandra Ambrosia--Daniella Cicarelli--Izabel Goulart---Thais Souza Wiggers--
--Cintia Dicker--Adriana Lima--Juliana Moreira --Ana Beatriz Barros---
    --------------the girl from Ipanema-------------fat Ronaldo----------------

This line up is heavy on the model/samba dancer side to make up for the fact that the only soccer player is fat Ronaldo.

Besides Brazil, there are only two other teams that I love to see loose, Mexico and Canada, ergo, a good 5-0 thumping of Brazil will make my day. USA! USA!

    Ya reet.
Which is Arabic for "I wish" and sounds suspiciously like "YEAH RIGHT."

How about a 1-0 win or tie against Brazil? Drawing Brazil would have to be considered getting a result.

fat Ronaldo has the ability to look like he does nothing the whole match, then you look at the stat sheet and he has a hat-trick... so color me worried

    well, no RSL for awhile
at least I got these guys and Euro...
I have a bad feeling that the Yanks are going to look like RSL last night and just get their asses handed to them on their own turf

I am sure a lot of people had the same sentiment when the US played in Italy a little while ago.
I hope we can at least get a draw against Brazil.

I'd love to see all those gorgeous woman together in a line-up!

I'm pretty excited for the match. I have zero expectations for the Yanks; I'm just hoping for an entertaining match.

    Looks like Dempsey will be playing but coming off the bench. If Jozy plays it'll be the same way. Here's what I expect the lineup to be;

    ------------------------------Howard---------------------------------
    -----Cherundolo------Onyewu------Bocanegra------Johnson-----
    -------------------------Edu (or Beckerman)------------------------
    -------------------Bradley-------------------Jones-------------------
    ------------Donovan------------------------------Torres-------------
    ---------------------------------Gomez-------------------------------

I think I'm finally gonna get my wish to see a Landycakes, Torres, and Deuce play an offensive style game together! I can't wait!

I think that's a good lineup, and I'm hoping you're right. I hope you're also right about seeing LD, Duece, and Torres together. That will be sweet.

I watched the Denmark/Brazil game and I'm not saying Brazil looked like garbage, but they didn't really impress me. 3 goals, 1 being an own goal on Denmark's part. Denmark looked like the better team the second half. (I didn't watch the first half, only the highlights of it). Denmark really should have tied that game in the second half, if not have won it.

    1. Brazil was coasting at that point. Yeah, Denmark looked better, but Brazil had already done the damage
    2. Brazil didn't use Neymar (who they will use against the US) so comparing the two games is going to be very difficult

Maybe I should clarify; Brazil didn't make me go WOOOOO..... AWWWW!!!

They still looked really good, but I will stand by my point saying Denmark should have tied that game.

The US not being my native country leaves me without that emotional attachment to the USMNT.
I cheered for them during the WQ but after that I've only watched their games out of curiosity.
I never enjoyed their old playing style, but if they keep playing like their last game (Not with the same result, of course) I'll keep watching.

That and COMNEBOL WQ Qualifying isn't until Saturday.

Well, that's one way to start the game. Good thing it's a friendly or I would not be terribly calm.

Was watching this on ESPN3 until I realized it was on tv.
Telefutura's commentators make this so much better.

That was a great through ball from Bradley.

Maybe going into half only down by 1 goal will make a difference in this game.

Amazing what a late goal in the half can do for the feel of a game.

Watching the game with the NFL crazy father-in-law. He hasn't watched much soccer before, but watched the Scotland game with me and now this game. His quote before the goal was, "US needs to stop being pussies. They are acting way to timid. Against Scotland they were aggressive, they just need to man the ******** up." Then when the US showed aggression, they score ha

Ian Darke kept saying Brazil scored directly from a corner; they didn't. I mean, scoring a Gol Olimpico = scoring directly from a corner; I don't think I am being pedantic in taking issue with his characterization of a corner headed in by an attacker being a goal scored directly from a corner.

It's so funny how the commentators said that the "yellow" shirt commands respect from opponents. It's true with a lot of countries they face. The US looks scared out there, and when the yellow shirts close in on them they panic and lose the ball.
