This is your moment Houston area USA fans. An audition if you will. IF the crowd comes out in full force and provides a great atmosphere the Fed may be tempted to come back for really important matches. Jamaica during WCQ perhaps..
Couldn't have said it better. We have all complained in the past that USSF does not come to Houston. Well . . . . this is our trial run. So, if you can get to the game and everyone on here bring two friends.
But it's on a Tuesday at 6pm and there's homeless people?!?!? Seriously, though we can't talk a big game about how cool we are and then don't show up. Thats too Seattle-ish.
If you don't have your tickets yet, I have the presale code here Per USSoccer's email to Jen, they listed the petition for the USWNT as a reason they came w/ the Men's team. Pretty cool
Oh now. But they have the ticket prices listed on the US Soccer website and if we don't sell out at those prices, I would agree that we have forfeited the right to moan about no USMNT games here. They are about the same as the women's team prices. But beyond getting any WCQ, a sellout might open us up to getting more USMNT games in the winter months when they have typically played in Carson or Tampa due to weather considerations.
We can sell this out. Only problem (as always) is the damn scalpers and people who buy the huge group tickets and then try to sell them for a profit. We're definitely going to have plenty of empty seats just like at Dynamo games. The stadium only cares about tickets sold not butt-in-seats.
Depends on where you are sitting. Highway robbery for my front row tickets behind the goal went from 50 to 150! Next row back is only 35 bucks. Jeeez.
You can actually buy tickets today if you want to. Here is the link: http://view.email.ussoccer.com/?j=f...a731571&jb=ffcf14&ju=fe5912737d6c017e7717&r=0... I bought mine earlier.
I'll be seating with the American Outlawz. Just became a member. Where do I get my honorary first flare?
Listen I know we all have commitments but your NT doesn't come around very often. As many times as I've seen Mexico, I still leave work by 12noon* on game day and on my 5th beer by 4pm even on (a tuesday). Are we real soccer fans or weak nuts?** *sick day. doctors appt. vacation. comp time. play hooky. **yes, even for a friendly.
If this game doesn't ********ing sell out don't ever bitch about the USMNT not coming to Houston. This is your chance to prove to US Soccer that we're worth a ********ing damn!
I'm just worried that we have to explain that we have a national team, not named Mexico, in this country! Somebody buy The Keeper and her posse of (late) guys a beer!
bought two with AO. Oddly, there appear to be huge swaths of the stadium, my usual seats included, that are not available to choose from on the presale
