You knew when you saw Brad Evans at attacking mid over Benny Feilhaber that this was going to be one of those games. The outside backs could've helped the cause but just weren't that effective. Oh well.
I don't mind Bruin just playing 15. It makes sense to me. If he were to play at a hex/gold game he's be a late sub too
I also thought the atmosphere wasn't all that bad, considering the crowd size and the dreary game. Lots of people stood for corners and random chants started occasionally. Oh and I finally tried the Korean style tacos. Not bad at all.
Even though the game wasn't a barnburner,it looked good on tv. Tweleve thousand fans looks pretty good in BBVA Compass Stadium.
Yeah, actually as long as they kept the camera on the action - the lower bowl looked fairly full. When they panned out, or at half time, the upper bowl looked empty and not all that great.
Most players sleep-walked this game. EJ, lookin' atcha. Gatt, Bedoya and Davis at least played like they cared. Bruin didn't get enough minutes to get in a groove.
I think stands look way more full when people aren't wearing the same color as the seats, so that helped. I also think the orange seats stand out way more in our stadium when they are empty than in other stadiums around the country.
I'd be surprised to see Evans on the roster for Honduras, no way he starts over Bradley. Agreed, it was a fun atmosphere despite the rather dismal game. And the Korean tacos have become my go to pre-game meal, solid stuff.
All the food at studio movie grill is horrible though. I only go there because I work next door and get hook ups
Indeed. I figured a Movie Grill v BBVA food comparison was fair. I only go there if I've been talked into some marginal movie and a couple draft beers will help.
Looks like I hit the nail on the head with this one. What an absolute waste of time. The good news was that I didn't even bother to go and waste more of my time than I did just by watching on TV. Thanks for nothing US Soccer.
