My memory is that blueballs wanders in every year and says all sorts of pessimistic things. I usually sit back quietly to see if he's right. Unfortunately, my memory is crap, so I can't remember if anything he predicts has ended up right.

I could be wrong sometimes but right most of the time. Let me up date you on those details. 2 PDL teams are owed a lot of money that USL is having a hard time paying up. 2 teams that have been champions in the past. WLeague is requesting owners to help support the owners of teams who can't afford to travel so they can have all their teams back. Their is one USL Pro team that is looking towards NASL if things do not change. USL Pro teams do not have money and want shorter seasons, less travel, etc. USL is having a hard time dealing with a lot of the problems. Typical USL!

Another PDL expansion franchise. I don't know if any teams are leaving for the NPSL, I know of none that are crashing out, so PDL looks to be getting ridiculous.

I see one of two possibilities:

Try to promote a few to USL Pro (I know Boston, Tucson and TDL are aiming for that), or expand down with a D-5 league.

As another note, Hamilton FC is moving across town from Brian Timmis Stadium to McMaster University. Not much difference really. Something that annoys me about both is that they bound the length to the Canadian football goal lines at 100m/110yd.

Question. Is the Umbro kit just for the soccer balls, or for the kits, etc?

I can confirm that FC Tucson will be in the southwest division.

Ouch. That's a long bus ride to the rest of the teams in the division.

Suppose so. Not like there's a whole hell of a lot to see out the windows, particularly for the 3 San Diego area teams, on the drive. I've made that drive out I-8 and man is it depressing.

My sources are telling me USL is having trouble paying their payments to Nike. Yes they have a payment plan to Nike. Everyone is saying Papadakis is out of money and certain investers with him are no longer going to give him money towards USL. Bills are not being paid and I know certain people (teams) want their money.

It's 658.03 miles to 670 miles (depends if you go through Milwaukee or not) from Chicago to Thunder Bay. That's a fun drive and the scenary is actually good especially when your next to Superior.

Didn't someone post recently that it is over 1000 miles from Jacksonville to Tulsa, I guess these NPSL players know their teammates extremely well after that road trip

Assuming that the division just adds FC Tucson, here's the distances to there opponents.
BYU Cougars: Provo Utah; 735 miles, 12.5 hours.
Fresno Fuego: 703 miles, 11.5 hours.
Ventura Fusion: 550 miles, 9 hours
Ogden Outlaws: 810 miles, 14 hours.
All Southern California teams: 500 miles, 8 hours

So will FC Tucson really have the most travel miles?

I would imagine they'll have a lot of road trip double-headers. Do Ogden Friday, BYU Sunday... Ventura Friday, OC Blue Star Sunday, something like that. Otherwise the sheer mileage will kill their budget.

What they really need, as ButlerBob, is to start like a "Desert Division", try to see if they can expand to Phoenix and Albuquerque, maybe Vegas, and then bring in El Paso, West Texas and Colorado. Nice seven-team division.

So any hint or rumor of new USL Pro teams for next season? It's comig down to now or wait for another season. I would think they bring in at least a couple on the west coast. But then again I'm a bit daft. LOL

I found out today that USLPro fixtures, division format and playoff details will be out on Tuesday. This is the earliest I can remember it ever being released.

The LA Blues remain the best USL PRO team west of the Missisippi :D

I asked on the USL Facebook page if there will be any new USL Pro teams. And I got this response fairly quickly.

United Soccer Leagues We'll have the schedule, alignment and postseason information available tomorrow afternoon at around 1 p.m.

So looks like they will have the schedule out tomorrow. And if they do have new teams will be announced then. I'm feeling that they don't have any new teams. I could be wrong and hope that I am.
