Carrick showing his worth to Hodgson.

The commentators thought Carrick was to blame for the goal.

Of course, Keane thought otherwise and no one dared to argue otherwise.

Much better. Though, Italy were way off full strength...where as I'd say we were slightly stronger with Carrick, Cleverley and Lampard (over Gerrard, Parker) and A Johnson who is much better at running at people. Plus no where near the pressing that was seen in the Euro's which is where you'll see the true level of an England side.

The big question, will Roy always fall back to a defensive first (including 'can't pass' Parker) in any important game against a half decent team?

Carrick and Cleverly made a huge difference. Young was very poor...again.

    I thought England was brilliant.

I didn't see the match though but I thought Cleverly and Lampard and Johnson, and Carik was excellent

^^Carrick, Cleverley and Lampard should be England's midfield 3 at least until Wilshere is fit.

Young and Johnson were the weak links today.

Not really, everyone knew England were a poor team, and Balotelli didn't beat us. Germany on the other hand were expected to win the Euro's by many....and he personally spanked you.:)

Only the foolish thought Germany would win so it makes sense that you would think so.

And you trolled yourself but it's ok. I don't think worse of you because of it. It was cute.

I tght we had a very good chance to win it and was an extremely awful performance against the Italians.

Not as priceless as continuing to see Andy Carroll get called up.

Think it's an easy move for Llorente. He will do very well in Serie A.

Whoopsy daisy, seems a fake official site caught out a few people and even news outlets there with respect to Llorente and Juve. Still expected to happen though.

As others have said, Young was woeful. Shows DS among others were right to say good league player but question marks over him in europe/internationally.

I would've like to see Oxlade-Chamberlain out there with the likes of Clevs and Carrick. Was he on the bench?

I also thought Bertrand looked vastly superior to Baines.

He (Bertrand) is incredibly without guile. But in the run fast/kick hard battle with Baines, he wins the run fast portion of the event.
