I like 2 of those 3. JP is still one of the best in this country, and Osborne is a little rough around the edges, but she's getting better. Whitehill still sucks.

Kate Markgraf must be involved with USWNT TV commentary going forward. I'm not real keen on Fox broadcasting the World Cup, but one silver lining is Kate. She maybe isn't as polished or media savvy as Foudy, but she might be the most insightful and honest of the bunch. She doesn't hesitate to criticize poor tactics or shenanigans. Remember when she called out "certain players" for diving in the NWSL final? She didn't come right out and name Abby, but it was obvious. Finally someone said it. For some reason most TV people seem to ignore stuff like that when it involves popular U.S. players.

Pleased to have JP back too. Ian Darke is ideal but JP is a nice, nostalgic presence. Osborne doesn't have a great commentary voice but maybe she'll get better. I associate Cat Whitehill with College Cups. For some reason it's a little odd to have active players do commentary. Not quite sure why. Maybe because they sometimes make references to their own teams -- "this is how we do set pieces with the Boston Breakers", etc.

Markgraf may have the most interesting things to say but unfortunately I do not here them because I can't get past her voice. It's like chalk on a board for me and most times I just mute it.

Whitehill's voice is the one that bugs me to no end.

The center grass section does look greener in that shot. Will be interesting to see how it looks on the TV screen. Unfortunately I won't be able to watch live. :(

Really interested to see this line up, especially the Engen Sauerbrunn pairing. Pair of the future?

I wonder if Beuhler is injured given she didn't practice yesterday (as per the article above).

I assume the lineup reads right to left, so it would look like this:

So can we hazard a guess about what is going on with van Hollaback? Reports was that she was not at the open practice

She may have picked up a knock. Either that or she's falling out of favor with Tom.

Yeah. This could be many things. Injury, family issues. Maybe in postgame interviews they'll reveal true reason of her absence.
