I wouldnt mind going to the US for the world cup. i recently went there and got thru alright, although noone could understand what I was saying. We could always hire a "micro" like the ones used in Peru. The mods can drive while the rest of us get tanked at the back

Even if Africa is not prepared, they will still host it because FIFA is infatuated with "spreading" the world game, and al that BS.

THE FACT IS THAT GERMANY SET THE BAR SO HIGH IN TERMS OF ORGANIZATION, THAT NO OTHER VENUE CAN SATISFY THOSE NEEDS.

How the hell are all the venues going to be connected like in Germany? South Afrrica has like Locomotives and shit running, thats about it.

And I would not like it to be in the USA because the Stadiums are not Soccer Stadiums. It looks gay, I rather it be in Canada!!!

 Well it did pretty well in 94, so lets not think it could only be worse.

What about the world cup in... PERU :D; we already have some good satudiums from the U-17 world cup or was it U-20, either way with some money from FIFA we could upgrade them.

I am sure that if Colombia can host, we can too. We have good stadiums like Monumental, Nacional, Max Agustion, Mansiche, Garcilaso. But we need more infrastructure.

oh come on stop dreaming, we can do a youth WC, but an adult WC is big league stuff and we are not prepared. our stadiums are not first-class and our infrastructure (airports, highways) are in poor condition.
But I'm ready for the next youth WC to be played in Peru, that would be nice. More experience for our young talents is always nice.
BTW did anybody see the "mundial de la calle" in Cuarto Poder this past weekend. Peru got 5th place, they showed how "little" our kids looked against Croatians, and how we just killed the colochos (3-0), the team got some mad street skills.

Forgot the captain thing. THe guy is smart on the field. Your going to disagree with that. I'm sure he's learned a thing or two in his time, and quite frankly he seems like the kind of guy that would speak out for the right things for la sele.

You know you'd have to travel from Ireland all the way here. But its not like they were going to have it in the more African parts of Africa but the whiter South Africa. So whatever, let them get their schitt together.

    Noooooo!

Hosting it in the US is the closest SA countries can get to having a WC close to home without it being in actual South America. There are seriously tons of South Americans here now.

I'm tired of seeing the European teams draw 30K people while we draw 5K because only a few pitucos can afford to travel to Japan or Germany.

Imagine Peru in NY/NJ?? 40K cholos easy.

I know I'd be there in a heartbeat.

this horrible...I didnt realize it back in 94', but it would be impossible to follow your squad for its 3 group games...The US is quite frankly to vast, a much better option would be to have the entire WC held lets say in California..

by the looks of what some of these retards are saying about poverty and crime, SA doesn't look as bad as it's made out to be....

FIFA has some rules that IIRC each venue for each group must be within a 2 1/2 hour airplane ride from each other.

No doubt Columbus would get a venue, using Ohio Stadium and all 106,000 seats. Columbus is a short plane ride to just about anywhere this side of the Mississippi.
