If she can play a wing-- particularly if she can defend a wing, then very possibly... We have forwards out the wazzoo-- she can't make it as a forward unless there's a rash of injuries. But if she has similar value as a backup on the wing to someone who really cannot play forward... or really cannot play the wing...
Wonder if the same thing happened to her as with Alex? Came back too soon from the injury and re-injured it.
Yeah, these girls need to take it easy and rest their bodies. When I saw Morgan's video from last December where she was cliff diving with Leroux, the first thing that came to mind was that isn't she just recovering from an ankle injury?
Not sure bc I've only seen highlights of Hagen...I was under the impression she's a Wambach type understudy. Arod would be depth for a speedster type.
That appears to be the case. You may recall in Dec she was rehabbing from a high ankle sprain. For someone like Dunn you have a young buck who probably never really missed many games for injury before her senior year and she is trying to stay with the NT and you get called into camp and probably feel better than Dec but not 100% and think you can go and then you can't go. I am sure the new players don't want to sit out but hopefully she learned from Morgan. I am sure we will find out the extent but just want her ready for the NWSL opening which will be good for not just Wash but for the league.
I wonder that too. Does she go with probably best position being forward or try and sell the ability to to play multiple positions and play AM. Think about if the Hagen thing materializes. AMs of Tymrak, Holiday, Arod and Hagen at forward. If that line-up gels and KC can get Arod to play that role effectively...
Yes even though these women are athletic freaks their bodies still can break down. I guess I will know more tomorrow when the schedule is released but that's my main worry with the NWSL...scheduling to many games. It's close to high school season in Missouri with 3 and 4 games in a week.
I posted this on the 2/8 game thread, but I'm hoping for more minutes for the new players. -------------Barnhardt----------- --Krieger--Brunn--Engen---Cox-- --------------Johnston-------------- ----Tymrak--Brian----Rapinoe---- ----------Press----Rodriguez------- Bring in the veterans in the second half.

Would it be rescheduled or cancelled? I'm assuming the Russian girls are flying back soon after the match.
#USAvRUS is rescheduled to Feb. 13 @GeorgiaDome in ATL, 7:30pm. Open training on Feb. 11 is canceled. Full info: http://t.co/CtAEFRgAQf #RT— U.S. Women's National Soccer Team (@USWNT) February 11, 2014 One thing of note in that article, they mentioned they'd sold over 14,000 tickets.
Great that they rescheduled instead of cancelling. Over 14,000 tickets sold? It's pretty good considering game is against Russia and in the middle of the week. How many people will get there that's another story.
Georgia is all nice and good but what about some South Cal games? They act like they are allergic to that part of the country. No way one of the France games can't be in LA or Diego.
