    But at least the NWSL doesn't constantly see lopsided 8-1 results. How many of Press's goals were scored in these type of victories where it was completely one sided? I have the same complaint with the French league.

    The NWSL is run in a somewhat socialistic point of view. US Soccer decides that you will play there, you there and so forth, so that the league can be competitive. Of course they listen to players and the different teams to a degree, but since they pay the big bucks, they have more to say. They are trade-offs and such between the teams, but as I see it, there can't be a dream team in the league because of this. And that's both good and bad. But you can't say that the players may roam as they want, cause they can't, and that's way the league is more equal in terms of strength between the different clubs.

    As I see it, it's both good and bad for obvious reasons, but it is also true that US Soccer is somewhat of an dictatorship in terms of what the teams may or may not do when it comes to player signings. Would Press be allowed to play for a different team, team X, if they could have agreed on terms?

    Yeah, there are some games where there are some results where the likes of Malmö or Tyresö has a tally of 7-8 goals, but these occasions are far in between. Sunnanå SK was such a team last season, but they were also as I recall the worst newcomer in the Damallsvenskan ever, in GF.

    She played for Stanford but that was the Harlem Globetrotters.

    She was a scrub at MagicJack.

    It was all the coach at FCG.

    With the great Marta at Tyreso, she is just a trash player.

    She had a excellent Freshman year, 2013, under Tom.

    Ops, she hit that Sophomore slump in 2014 but it can't possibly apply to her, not Christen Press, the dog soccer player.

    Her pedigree and accomplishments are lies and a fraud.

    How could we have missed it?

    Next, you'll say the Speed Force is slow.

    3 out of 132 matches ended with 7 or more goal win in 2013
    2 out of 132 matches ended with 7 or more goal win in 2012
    you do have very low set demands for something to be happening constantly.

    Good stat. Kudos.

    No one debates that Marta ignited her game but she almost netted 20 goals at FCG without Marta. She's just proof how great Marta is. Maybe Lines could save his season and Wambach from herself if the league lets the Salhens sign Marta for half a season.

    Is Courtnall capp'd for the Canadians yet? She's a stud athlete... Type that Anson or Tony would have loved on the Nat team..

    But you get the point of his comment.....

    Damallsvenskan
    22 games played by all teams.

    Rosengård GD +41 2.5G avg
    Tyresö GD +47 3.2G avg
    Linköping GD +21 2.09G avg
    All three avg'd over 2 goals a game. One team in the league was -67 in GD. Eight teams gave up 30 or more goals with one more at 29.

    NWSL
    22 games played by all teams.

    Western New York Flash GD +16 1.6G avg
    FC Kansas City GD +12 1.54G avg
    Portland Thorns FC GD +7 1.45G avg
    Only 4 teams gave up 30 or more goals. But none over 40 vs 3 teams that gave up 40+ goals in the Damallsvenskan (6 teams did so in 2012).

    Scoring is higher in Sweden. That is not a slight to any of the top flight players that ply their trade there, but you can't use stats there as if it's an even barometer for other leagues an performances.

    You been drinking some of newsouth's juice? Courtnall isn't even committed to soccer at this point (she's been competing with UCLA's track and field team again this spring). And she would have to file her one time switch to play with the US, which means even if she gets zero caps, she would never be able to play for Canada. And with at least Krieger and Dunn ahead of her in the depth chart, why would she do that? And since the disruption of bringing in the new younger players is part of what lead to Sermanni's firing, I don't think they'll be bringing in new untested players like Courtnall any time soon.

    A. she's tested (numerous youth WC, College cup victory). B. she also plays left back. C. my question was is she capp'd on the Canadian Nat team. D. i love juice. Is this of the orange variety?

    Nope, just one youth WC. She had 6 caps for the U-17s in 2010. Nothing since. No U-20, no U-23. Which is what I was talking about. They are more likely to bring in someone playing RB for the U-23s than someone with no experience at the higher levels.
    Hmm... I have never seen her play left back, if she does it hasn't been with UCLA where Caprice Dydasco plays left back. Even if she does, she would be behind O'Hara, Cox, Klingenberg, and Mewis on the depth chart. So again, not exactly something to throw away her Canada eligibility for.
    If you mean the full team, then no. She's not been deemed worthy of a call up even for them, yet somehow newsouth has it in his mind that she should be a starter for the USWNT... :rolleyes:
    You'll have to ask newsouth that...

    To balance out, most pro sports leagues in the US tend to have team salary caps, trades & drafts(where the last place team gets 1st pick from our ultra important college system). But you'll be surprised that the Seattle Reign, at least on paper, somehow managed to get what just might look like the most super duper team on the planet! look at this lineup

    fwds;
    Bev Goebel(Nadeshiko's goal scoring champ) Sydney Leroux(obvious mega star) Kawasumi(my pick as J. best player at this year's Agarve Cup) Danielle Foxhoven(very fast, perhaps the US best uncapped player)

    mids;
    Jesssica Fishlock(got a hat trick for Wales last wc qualifier). Kim Little(former Arsenal superstar)Megan Rapinoe(US & globetrotting megastar)

    def;
    perhaps the Reigns weakest area but Stefanie Cox(US NT) Lauren Barnes(just back from scoring the winning goal at the Aussie league title game)

    gk, the one & only Hope Solo!

    we'll see how it all works out but still can we say this line up is worthy as Tyreso's?

    My apologies to Press. She really didn't have a chance to make a pass to the unmarked player on that bad angle shot.

    And what was that about Carli never trying to make plays for anyone else???:D

    Nobody said she never tries to make plays...

    What I'm saying is count the number of times she shoots the ball and doesn't score and compare it to the number of times she passes the ball and the reciever scores (I'll save you time there and let you know it's 0). Which is higher? Whichever one that is, is her tendency.
