I'm underwhelmed. I'm now hoping the national AO scarf this year is as good as last year's (which was a really good one, IMO).

Looks like I'm lining my shirt $$ to be spent on a Sporting secondary with the gold star.

It's France's away/secondary kit from Euro 2012. Just replace the crest on the jersey and shorts. Pathetic.

I wouldn't buy it because there's no way in hell i would keep it white. And I agree that it's far from exciting.

I don't dislike it, but I don't dislike Hanes/Fruit of the Loom undershirts either.

USA secondary for the World Cup. Apparently Nike isn't interested in jersey sales.
Socks and the shorts will be red.

Looks like Sporting Park will get to host a game of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying for the women coming up in October.

The 2014 CONCACAF Women’s Championship, which will qualify three teams for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, will be played in four host cities in the United States: Chicago, Kansas City, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.

Women's World Cup qualifying tickets go on sale Friday, draw isn't until next week though so we won't know what night the women play until then.

Tickets bought through AO not bad 50 for mine. 55 a piece for 3 others I bought. Pretty good deal for 4 games and 2 days.

    Moving to more appropriate thread:

Okay, I genuinely had a *new to me* thought about the RH comments on Twitter last night - so I'll ask.

The gripes were all related to either the venue or the location. Do you suppose he was frustrated a because On-Goal pitched for this game to be at Sporting Park? I can only imagine that RH & co. dream of the day that the USMNT choose Sporting Park to play a competitive Mexico match (will require losses at Columbus first) - but a friendly could have been a nice introduction.

The frustrated and spurned suitor points out the deficiencies of the chosen beau?

I doubt it, this game was always gonna be a bigger stadium, if it's at SP, it's nowhere near the cash grab. Heineman understands that (or he should)

JK has lost the plot. Just yesterday he called Johnson out for wanting to be subbed off because he feared an injury. Well, looks like he got one. I've lost count of how many players he has thrown under the bus over stupid "fitness" related issues like this. I hope Fabian Johnson tells JK where to stuff it the next time he gets a call up. I can't imagine the players like to play for this a-hole.

We need a player revolt to force Sunil to make a change.

Klinsmann is just not a good coach. Look at Bayern, look at Germany, look at the idiotic things he says that have nothing to do with the problems at hand. He has so little grasp on that which is around him that he channels his frustrations into incidents like Johnson. I honestly don't understand how anyone can be on his side right now. He thinks he can pilot a team using allegories and expectations while completely ignoring anything technical, tactical, or meaningful. Get him the hell out of there.

I'm confused , is Besler concussed or is he just "under the weather"? Somebody tweet Nate Bukaty.

I've decided that JK is actually an MLS plant, put in place to make everyone hate the USMNT so we get more club over country people...

At a time when soccer is gaining momentum and popularity in the US, Klinsmann has set the USMNT program back years. Terrible showing for the US team.

It's time for Gulati to grow a pair and get ride of JK as national team coach. JK has done some good (and controversial) things for the youth game, but he is clearly an incompetent buffoon as a head coach. It's not the player pool. It's his player selection and his in game tactics that are the issue. Bradley is not a No.10, he's a No. 6, Bedoya is not a wide mid, he's a central mid, etc. etc.

This US squad is awful, difficult to watch and even more difficult to root for. The US used to punch above it's weight because the players played hard and played for each other. Now, the team loses routinely to CONCACF minnows because the belief in the team isn't there.
