Ahaha, just had a major, "OHHH" moment. Was watching the videos of the goals from the U.S. u-17's 3-1 victory over Brazil. Watched the video (below) of the lone Brazilian goal, by Matheus Queiroz. After scoring it, the kid did the, "rock the baby" celebration. A youtube commentator said, "Does he have a kid already?". I started to agree, but then stopped myself. He's 17... and Brazilian... so he was born in 1994... The son of Bebeto, who famously celebrated a goal in the '94 World Cup by "rocking the baby" in honor of the birth of his son, Matheus.

Ahaha, I'm sure a ton of other people knew it right away, but the sudden realization blew me away. Its kinda sweet when you think about it. Kid paying tribute to his old man paying tribute to him.

So was the U-23s game. What a day for a USSoccer. Have to keep our feet on the ground, but still can't deny the awesomeness of a 8-0 overall result for the USWNT, USMNT, and USMNT U-23s against Denmark, Italy, and Mexico (respectively).

well, naturally, i've seen the highlights. yeah, positive stuff there... though italy could've easily had a few themselves.

FBM just told me that the 2002 WC games are on youtube. Guess what I'm doing today. I think I was supposed to be doing something important here at my desk but I can't remember what it was...

810 zone was a blast for that qualifier back in 2009. People had travelled from hours away to watch that game. Place was electric!

As Mike said, Johnny's is buying the PPV for us. The first game is this Saturday night vs Scotland at 7 pm. I'd appreciate it if people came out and showed support for Zusi, the Nats and Johnny's. For all the games in May and June they are reserving the top side and giving us full sound.

Johnnys P&L is buying the upcoming June 12, 9pm central, @ Guatemala game. PPV only. Johnnys is paying $1000 plus for the match. WC qualifying.

You wont find it anywhere else.

Not that the US played well, but I find it amusing that the headlines on ESPN said that while the US was "shaky" in a 3-1 win over Antigua, Mexico "handled" another minnow at home, Guyana 3-1...

Ugh, not really anything unexpected and getting a draw there is a good result, but giving up the late goal sure leaves a sour taste in the mouth.

Giving up the late goal after wrongly having a second goal ruled out leaves a worse taste.
