Discuss. I waited to let superdave's area specific post-match threads get some traction before creating the general thread.

    2-1 final.

The only thing worse than this loss is the wait until the next game..

Damn, that was hard and ugly. We haven't gotten much better under JK, and at this point, he better beg Donovan to play. We need more confident players (leaders), and not a midfield made up totally of defensive mids. Kljestan is not a spark off the bench, never will be.

US needs Landon. Had hardly any creativity in the midfield. Bradley had many soft TO's. Chandler and Johnson needs improvement.

It's not the fact that we lost, it was the fact that Honduras was better at every single position.

There is plenty of blame to go around but I am really starting to believe that Klinsy is not a very good match manager.

Everyone looked exhausted from the start. Behind a step on all challenges. The subs didn't help. All three were a step down from the players they replaced. I thought Kleshit was banned from playing for the US.

Oh, well. In reality - I just don't care about the US National Team anymore. It is hard to get excited about this amalgamation of crap.

Can't win if you don't take a shot on goal and it looked like no one wanted to take a shot except maybe Dempsey and Altidore other then those two no one wanted to shoot and don't even get me started on the defending that I saw today.

    1) When you call a bunch of European players who are coming from a cold temperature and then make them play 90 in a summer like climate, you will always be at a disadvantage.

    2) The players were ridiculously tired towards the end, the Mexico game will be interesting

    3) In Bob I trust.

We still sucked with Landon in the recent past. Partly because Landon hasn't been creative enough. Also Landon does not play defense where the problems lie mostly.

I don't expect to waltz through every (supposedly weaker) team we play, but this team is so goddamn boring to watch it kills me. If we're gonna be boring I'd at least like to get a result.

I did not want to see two inexpeirenced CBs, and said so in the pregame threads. Sometimes it sucks to be right. Cost us both goals.

We got no width except for a run or two by EJ, who was actually our most effective attacker, IMO, because the FBs were too sapped by the heat to get forward.

Sacha and Zusi added absolutely nothing as subs.

I don't know what Hudson was smoking, I did not think MB was very good, especially in the first half. Williams either. JJ had a nice pass but got caught with the ball a lot.

Jozy just can't convert Club form to Nat form.

I've been withholding judgment on Klinsmann until meaningful competitive play, but now that it's begun, early indications aren't good.

This looks like a team that's hardly ever played together.

WE have a lot of work to do... The game was always going to be difficult but, we probably deserved a point... In the end, keep working and we will see how all of it shapes up.
