Hi all, hope there's one of you out there who can help me... There's a player transfer listed at the moment who I desperately want whose bidding ends at 11/09/2006 1:05am battrick time. Trouble is I only have 4 million in the bank and he could to end up going for 5.5 mil+ So I need to know if I was to transfer list these players in the next 24 hours could I count on big early bids on them from any of you guys? Obviously don't want you to bid more than they're worth just enough to get me enough cash to buy the player. The players are Eric Bennett (58002) LH Batsman, RM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime A destructive player with feeble leadership skills and feeble experience. Plays For: Sherwood CCC Nationality: England Age: 27 Years Old Battrick Rating: 9,042 Wages: £1,959 p/w Stamina: feeble Wicket Keeping: woeful Batting: strong Concentration: competent Bowling: worthless Consistency: woeful Fielding: woeful and Owen Dowie (58012) RH Batsman, RM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime A cautious player with strong leadership skills and woeful experience. Plays For: Sherwood CCC Nationality: England Age: 26 Years Old Battrick Rating: 14,303 Wages: £2,018 p/w Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless Batting: respectable Concentration: competent Bowling: proficient Consistency: respectable Fielding: feeble I would expect Bennet to go for at least 750k so an early bid of about 650k would be great (theres a slightly worse player listed at the moment going for 650k with 2 days left) Dowie should fetch well over a million so an early bid of 900k would be awesome. Also just to confirm... I would be able to spend the money on bids for them before they were actually sold right? I'm pretty sure thats how it works. So could I count on bids on them for anyone here? Nice one johno, your a lifesaver They're both listed now... didn't wan't to list them until I was sure there would be some interest cause i'd be pretty screwed if they both sold and I couldn't get the new player...

So... did you get the player you wanted? BTW, that last player doesn't seem like a bargain for 870K at all. Shit... 100K on a YP and within a season you could have a better player.
Nope I didn't get him, didn't get a bid on Bennet in time although they both ended up going for well over what I listed them at. Cheers again for your bid on Dowie anyway though. Luckily another player has been listed who I should be able to get instead, so with the delay in FC matches I shouldn't actually have to play any matches with a weakened team. What I meant with the player above (Cranie) is that since he was nearly identical to the player I was selling and was going for 870k, it wouldn't have been a bad deal for someone to have got my player at 650k. Not sure i've explained myself very well there but oh well.
