392 does have Spanish alternate audio. 873 is the Alternate Channel which provides a temporary feed of the BeINSport-ñ channel not available on Dish Network. It is different programming. Usually Spanish League or Italian games that conflict with 392's matches. It also will come in handy for CONMEBOL & CONCACAF World Cup qualifying later this month.
Do you think--or does anybody think, for that matter--that it would be realistic for either Dish or DTV to add these channels in HD??
Your guess is as good as mine Metro. I'd personally say I am not holding my breath... ...but then again I would have said the same about Univision Deportes a few months ago.
Haven't seen this mentioned. Pretty big news: Univision Deportes is being tested on DirecTV!!! It's being tested on the 101 satellite which is a bit unusual in that the channel would surely be part of the Spanish package which is on 119. There is a small chance it becomes part of the main Sports Package but I don't want to get mine or anybody elses hopes up. The bad news is that the test signal is SD only (no HD). Keep in mind that a test is a test so things can change but its almost a certainty that DirecTV will be adding Univision Deportes in the very near future (likely at or around April 1st). What package? Stay tuned.... SA www.soccertvblog.com
The Mexican League Final second leg was in English. I think they are considering other matches as well in the future.
Going through the guide for Univision Deportes this morning I noticed an interesting tidbit: the channel also shows LIVE the matches that are on the main Univision channel and Unimas (as long as there is no conflict with another match). So tonight's Tijuana v Monterrey Liga MX match which is on Unimas is also on Univision Deportes. On Sunday, Pumas v León (2pm ET) on Univision as well as Deportes and then again for the MLS match between LA Galaxy v Chivas USA (5pm ET) which is on Unimas. SA www.soccertvblog.com
Univision Deportes is now being carried by Time Warner and Brighthouse. I subscribe to the sports pack and it showed up in HD this morning. Also showing up this morning but only in SD was Willow Cricket which is a 24/7 cricket channel.
Very good news. I am growing ever more fond of this channel: good L1 coverage, plus the German and French domestic cups, has good highlights shows, is in HD, etc.
Yeah I do like Univsion Deportes alot. Pretty much get to see just about all the Mexican League games and Mexican National team games plus what you mentioned. Its also a nice addition to get Univsion Deportes 2 which shows re-run full matches and other things.
Probably because they use the TDN commentators instead of their own crappy commentators. I wish they did that with the Mexican league and the national team.
I wish I knew the name of the French guy--who speaks perfect Spanish--who does French League games for them.
