Machito's characteristics make for a perfect defensive mid: tough defense, a bit of a hacker, medium speed, adequate technique, good shot. Him at left back would be a waste, Hernandez is head and shoulders above him.
no doubt Machito has the characteristics and skill to be a defensive mid his problem is his mentality it hasnt changed since he mad his debut way back in 98 thats 7 years, its hard to believe hes still only 23 and fully focused Machito would have been a blessing for our national team way way better than La Rosa and Mendoza can he get finally dedicate his life to playing futbol or will he throw it away..again
