Getting closer and closer to time to smack down the Union like a jack-ass Wisconsin governor.

Ah, I don't know if that's the simile you want to use, consdering the polls for the recall effort.

well, unless they petition to get back in the Open Cup in our place once we beat them, I think we'll be okay - I don't think there is a recall option in the USOC bracket :D

Almost every other USOC game is streamed tonight. It might actually be all but one other. That United or Philly -- or United and Philly together -- could not find a way to stream this game is a real shame, and actually out of step with the rest of MLS (and even the lower leagues).

Fair warning. If you are approaching the Soccerplex from Schaffer Rd (the road you would take if you weren't at the super-secret tailgate site), there is a traffic camera right before the circle.

If you are leaving the Soccerplex and going left out of the circle, the camera is further down the road, just before you get to the stop sign/turn for Richter Farm Rd.

Type 14300 schaffer rd, germantown, md into the address field and click the speed camera box. The one closest to the Soccerplex is going to, furthest away is the one leaving.

    Thx,

    Jay!

Yeah, there's a stream for the Michigan Bucks - Dutch Lions game from that God awful indoor box the Bucks play in, but they can't get a stream from the Soccerplex.

Hard to get people to care if only 3,000 people can get to see the game. And if we advance we will not get a stream of the next game either.

    Pretty sad.

3000 people might be able to see the game, significantly less will actually attend.

    Thx,

    Jay!

Hrm. Just got in from work stuff and nobody's here discussing the match. I see the halftime score, but was hoping for a starting lineup.

Even worse, though, is that it's impossible to get that information from DC United's website. All you can get is a page that shows a twitter stream, which doesn't go back as far as when anyone tweeted lineups. Sigh. When will this organization get it right?

    Starting XI vs Philadelphia Union: Hamid; Russell, McDonald, Dudar, Woolard; Najar, Kitchen, Boskovic, DeLeon;
Salihi, Wolff (c); Available subs: Santos, King, Neal, Saragosa, Korb, White, Willis

It was posted to FB, at least. I just try to spend as little time there as possible.

Yeah, I don't have access to FB.

Thanks. It worries me a little that online comments suggest that our defense has looked really shaky, when that's pretty much our first-choice backline.

Yeah, twitter is awful for stuff like this. I don't need to be told the same thing 128 times, but that's what I'm gonna get.

Yeah, It sounds like there's been a lot of miscommunication between defenders and Hamid and turnovers from the defenders in bad spots. Hey, if it serves to get 'em in synch for the next league match, I'll take a lopsided possession and shots game.

Just not a lopsided goals game going the wrong way. I have standards.

And Saragosa comes on for Boskovic; so a goal down, we go with the empty bucket. This looks, uh, doubtful now.

Saragosa scored the winner in the last Cup match. Let's see him tie it up today.

MLS net has a really cool thing going, play by play on all the matches at once. No spoilers here, but man I wish I could.

He did. But asking him to run the offense is a different thing.
