Um I don't think so. Carlos Ruiz, Rafael, Raphael Augusto and Marcos Sánchez are all Kasper failures not Olsen. Kasper had a Important press release announcoing Rafael. See his quotes below. Ben Olsen is never quoted in the article announcing his signing. No, the crap players brought in last year were all on Kasper. Olsen's blame is in showing faith in McDonald and Jaković.
That's your right; but the owner of the team explicitly told me otherwise, in so many words, over lunch. More specifically, he said that prior to last season, KP drove what happened with the roster, and Kasper's responsibilities (as many of us knew) were on the "contractual details" end. Last season was Kasper's first where he was given authority over the roster, and one of the many problems that occurred last year was that he deferred all the significant decision making to Ben. Regardless of press releases, Olsen made the decision to bring in Ruiz, etc. To me, this still speaks bad of Kasper, in that instead of doing a bad job, he didn't do his job at all. But it's a different complaint.
As I understand it, prior to this season, it was made clear that the roster was Kasper's responsibility, and that simply deferring to Ben would not be acceptable. One must decide for oneself whether that's an adequate response; I'm neither defending nor criticising anyone, but simply reporting.
Mods I think we have gotten away from the Columbus match here. Time to move these conversations to other threads.
I'd take it from about post 100 onward, but you want a brand new thread? I can do that. You want to move into an existing thread? No idea how to do that. Haven't figure it out yet. Your wish is my command.
Ponies are for Italian-Americans with names of African Countries! You sir, get a point in Cowlumbus and a non-flaming scoreboard.
