Of course it was just a friendly but it was nice to see what Philly could do if they are more aggressive in tactics and mentality.

As an aside, it looks like Jones played 90 as Schalke's center back. He also played CB for Schalke in their last League match on May 5th. Anyone have any observations of how he looked as a CB? Obvious US Nat's implications.

I thought he looked fine. Maybe a little over aggressive for a friendly, but that was my feeling for a lot of players on both sides.

Before he took the PK, Williams went over to hime and said something and pointed to The Rover End. I wonder what Williams said - at the time, I assumed it was something like "Don't miss or they will razz you.". It might have caused the PK taker to send the ball higher than he would have liked. Going forward, Williams should consult with all players that take PKs against the Union.

NOT ME!!! I want to win that thing this year. It is a chance at some hardware. Look at TFC... they totally suck and have a shot at the Canadian Championship, why not the Union going for the US Open Cup. On second thought, the lineup from the other night did beat Schalke, maybe that is our best bet, lol.

No i agree with you we need to go for the US Open Cup. I want us to get into the CCL and even if thats the easy way its still difficult to win.
We win it this year and with another year of experience for our young guns can make us dangerous in the CCL.
