I'd like to see Keon gone gone gone. I think these players will be gone: Kleberson, Torres, Albright, Lahoud, and some other players who haven't seen the field.
Yeah, why do you ask? I think that if Carroll were to move on - which I don't think would be a bad thing - Daniel could make for one helluva CDM. Have him and Gilberto fight it out. A CAM Daniel is not.
Wish List In: A tactician for a manager Director of scouting, along with some actual scouts who actually do scouting
We might have to add new investor money to my wish list. And a GM to work out how to manage the cap. Does the City of Chester still have tax money on their off-season wish list for the Union?
This counts more like a gossip topic than even a rumor, but does anyone have any realistic targets that Union should get for next year? One player that I think would be good for Union is Sounder's Andy Rose. A central mid and bench guy in Seattle. I think he could be starter for Philly and be part of a younger type who is hungry. If Okugo stays in defense someone like Rose could be a better option than Lahoud to replace Carrol. Anyone have some other ideas? MLS targets seem the most realistic.
From the last thread. http://www.azcentral.com/insiders/o...get-picked-up-by-other-teams-in-mls-and-nasl/
I stated Zakuani on the previous page. We should really be looking at good teams (like Seattle) that are a little tight against the cap and/or want to make some big signings. That Seattle midfield is getting pretty crowded. There backups (Moffatt, Joseph, Zakuani, Caskey, Rose) are better than our starters.
Zakuani would be great but he would cost a lot. If not for being Mullaned, he would probably be playing in England now. I'm a little biased but RSL is pretty deep. Schuler in defense might have lost his starter spot to younger Salcedo. I also wonder if Robbie Findley might be pushed out by the emergence of Plata and Garcia. I kinda hope Union look to replace MacMath with a vet goalie, maybe an international.
I don't think so. He's barely played in the past 3 years and he's making a good chunk of money for a backup. Plus we do have a lot of draft picks and a couple international roster spots to sweeten any deal we make this offseason.
Where are my MacMath haters? http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...der-24-stats-dont-lie-answer-may-surprise-you Must be #1 GK in league
Given the teams stayed youth movement, this would be a good place for them to look for trades in the next window. Oh wait, what am I thinking. These players will cost a lot of money. They will be looking at the other end of this list.
Yeah, that article is based on Fantasy League production. As the comments note, it is more an indictment on how heavily the fantasy point system is weighted toward defenders & goalies than anything else. I'd like to see a similar article that wasn't based on "fantasy production."
-Get another defender. -Move Okugo to CDM losing Carroll -decent central/attacking midfielder. Cruz/Daniel serve a purpose, but in reality they are bench players. -Albright moves to coaching staff/front office. They'll free up a bunch of money with the widely expected departures of Torres and Kleberson (both of whom I think would excel as the central mid I spoke about above-but they arent going to get a shot under Hack), so they have money to spend.
