I know it's hard to believe for many USMNT true believers but there are actually people out there who put their club support ahead of the national team.

Personally, I like to see the national team do well, but I'm a casual viewer at best. I'll watch the World Cup matches. Beyond that I don't really go out of my way to watch. I'm all for Union players being named to their respective national teams. But would prefer it if those duties did not cause them to miss Union matches because at the end of the day that's what matters to me more.

I want to win games. I want my best players here, FIFA fix international dates or MLS move games. I don't care which. I don't want a Winter MLS calendar, but World Cup years really piss me off. Especially on days like today when we can't get three points with our best players.

Well you better prepare yourself because with Edu playing as well as he is more than likely going to Brazil.
The coach gets paid to get these bench guys ready to play and that's what he'll need to do in May/June.
For krist's sake the Union are only losing one player.

I think Edu is on the radar for Brazil to be sure, but is more likely not on the USMNT roster than on it at this point. There's a number of different options at his D-Mid position. A lot will depend on how he performs with Union over the next 2 months and other factors like injuries.

Speaking of paying up, I had all intentions of going to Harrison nj for the match against Turkey, until I got the American outlaws email informing me that supporters tickets are $70. No thanks, I went to the eagles playoff game for less than that.

If it was Mexico I probably would, but not a friendly against Turkey. 70 just for a ticket, and then all the travel costs, it will be over 100 easily. I was thinking it would be around 45.

    Edit-I'll prob still go lol

undoubtedly my fear of missing out , or FOMO as the kids say, will kick in 02 5/31 and ill scramble to buy tickets for 3x face value. there comes a point in every mans life when he looks in the mirror, and that mirror says "who are you kidding, you weak willed little sheep"

exactly. I'm not happy about it, but I'll be paying the $63 at noon today. rather pay it up front, than pay second market inflated prices later

or if you can't decide now, you buy the cheepest ticket on stub hub then walk in the march like you have a lower level ticket. boom. I usually buy a ticket, but my first AO experience ever was that way.

I had ticket in the turkey section for USA v Turkey in 2010. walked right into the USA section like i owned the place and broomstick, best AO game of my life (excluding USA Mexico in Columbus)

i did buy my tickets, however, i find it insane that american outlaw tickets for a game against a far more interesting opponents (nigeria, mexico) are in the 30's, with these turkey tickets being literally double the cost. yeah, i get that red bull arena is a smaller stadium, and doesnt hold 67k, but nearly 70 bucks for the supporters (ie cheapest) tickets is crazy. They are are trying to generate the same revenue off a game that doesnt have the same intrigue, in a stadium that holds 65% less than the others. You know why its in a smaller SSS? BECAUSE ITS AGAINST TURKEY.
the goddamn azierbaziajaihann tickets better be like 15 bucks. -edit they are also 38, and i believe only using lower level at candlestick.
    /rant

    go usa.

double edit- rant back on- azzerbajinakn is comparable to turkey as far as im concerned, so i guess were paying for the privledge of going to north jersey

Turkey is actually a good team and league.

One of my old roommates was Azerbaijani. It's not hard to google and spell correctly.

i just mashed the keyboard with open palms and thats what came out

turkey may be good and all, but that doesnt justify 70 bucks when every other match was 38.

over 60 bucks is exploitation of the supporters group. Jack the prices up on the most loyal fans because there is half the seating (revenue) in the stadium. Gotta make up for it somewhere. im interested to see the pricing for the rest of the seats compared to nigeria in jacksonville

eh not really "case closed". AO tix had to be more than $25

edit- I quickly looked thru my ticket stubs but didn't see the Turkey '10 match. did find the one from Germany friendly this year ($48) and the Mexico friendly at the Linc ($50)
