The Flyers did it too. I never really liked the black shirts they went with.

They did, but black has always been in their color scheme

Side question: Can you un-flat a flat brim hat? Basically make it into a traditional-style hat? I know you can bake a new curve into a hat, but I'm not sure if the amount of fabric in the brim makes this feasible or not.

Are you talking about the hat or the beanie? The hat is only $24, and the beanie is only $18, which is cheaper than the standard Union gear (average price for a beanie is $20)
I believe he's talking about the Ugly All-Black jersey the Flyers sell.

That's why the Eagles are always in the Top 5 when it comes to merchandise sales in the NFL

That year every NFL team came out with a 3rd jersey (Vikings yellow was hideous) and I saw a bunch of them before they were released (I worked for a printing company that was printing gobs of stuff, we were all confused because we had never seen the colors before and particularly the Eagles black). I am not sure what other color would have worked for the Eagles at that time and black was the most popular color to be using. To the U choosing it, other than its opposite, white, I am not sure what color would have worked to be different enough from the other two yet staying within their color scheme.

Anyone remember the throwback 1933 jerseys that the Eagles wore back in '07?

They make a special potion that erases all memory of that shirt. It's called Bleach. Works wonders (so I am told).

Stopped by Angelo's today. They had the jersey and BSFC shirts but only in small sizes but not the BSFC hat, which is what I wanted to check out. I did pick up the black & gray scarf. It's pretty sharp.

I was on the fence about the jersey based on the internet pictures, but I was impressed by it in person. It was really nice. Probably will end up getting one.

I must have been the only one who really liked them. And we CRUSHED the Lions that day. Kevin Curtis...

A nod to the Frankford Yellow Jackets, an unrelated franchise dissolved in the 1930s.

    I see a trend here...

(And I know the throwbacks were based on early Eagles uniforms. But my understanding is that those uniforms had been based on the Yellow Jackets.)

    Ah my bad. Just guessing.
Anyways, the some notes. The Union raised the price of the BSFC hat by $2 (from $24 to $26)

The cool new track jackets are now available on MLGGear, but at $90, its seems like a ripoff.

& I was looking at the jackets on MLSGear (Bored in class), & I'm trying to figure out the differences between the 2012 gear and the 2013 gear.

    2013 Gear
The changes in gear seem extremely minor.

I grabbed the track jacket today at Angelo's, along with the new black/gray scarf. It's a quality piece of clothing. Might be a bit pricey, but honestly anything sports team related is inflated. If anything, the presentation jacket, aka fancy hoodie, is much more steep at $80.

Looking for a Union/Celtic scarf. I believe it is the only Union match day scarf I am missing (assuming there is no Manu/Chivas Guadalara one) and willing to pay $80 cash.

    Message me. Thank you.
