UD Leiria players terminate contract after 3 months without pay

 

Read that today. I thought it was only 3 or 4 players.

 

They only had 8 players starting in the last game, including 2 juniors. They can get the ******** out of the league.

 

The club was relegated to the II Liga but because of financial problems it was barred from participation for next season . Instead the II Liga put Sp. Covilha in its place,

Man Leiria has had some tough few years... Not a big enough town...

 

Good stadium though...what a shame. That stadium will go to filth now.

 

Weren't they trying to sell it to the government? It is a shame, just doesn't have the supporter, or city size to fill such a stadium.

In other news my cousins play for Leiria's youth team as a GK.
