i think it will be mature and professional to wait the third official game, or even better till after the derby, to assess our new coach... truth is, i have never been mature and professional in my love for Roma, but passionate to the bones. so screw what is wise... i missed the first game and tonight i will make sure to critisize and nag about and b*&ch every single rudi decision i see. forza Roma and bonne chance rudi. ur gonna need it.
Interested to see what Rudi does from a tactical standpoint until Destro returns and wins the golden boot. He started with Borriello the first game and then used a false 9 the second. I'm not really a fan of a false 9 unless you have the right players to do it, but Borriello didn't look all that promising against Livorno either.
First two rounds: - Rome has the most possession among the 20 teams in Serie A - Roma has made more shots on target (average 10/game, 8 against Livorno and 12 against Verona) - Roma has played most passes (average 750.5) with the highest success rate ( 78.7 %) - Roma is second in both the territorial supremacy ( 14'01 " behind Juve with 14'05 " ) and the index of risk which combines possession, vertical solutions, shots on goal and scoring chances ( 79.2 , behind Napoli with 85.2 ). Kind of a cool article on speculation of the influence Garcia could have on Caprari. Obviously Caprari isn't close to Hazard's level, but it basically likens the situation Hazard was in before Garcia came to Lille to Caprari's current predicament. And that Garcia convinced him to stay at Roma rather than go out on loan again. At least that is what I think it says from deciphering google translate http://www.forza-roma.com/76134/caprari-finalmente-la-possibilita-diventare-grande
Short interview with Canal+ Totti? Not only huge player, but also great man, class and quality, has outstanding vision, able to instantly reproduce what he sees on the field. He was very humble when I arrived and he was already ready physically. He has not missed a single workout and he asked to be be treated like everyone else. He is huge player, one of the best in the last 20 years. Your comment about some of the fans being Lazio fans? There is a phrase that is said in Rome: Roma is not discussed, but loved. I just mentioned this to the fans that you have to cheer Roma, which has a new project, with a new coach. If they couldn't understand this, then they could only be defined as Lazio fans. The purpose was to defend the players, because I found a group lacking in confidence. I realized that the Italian Cup final has weighed heavily on them, there was much disaffection but now it seems to me that things are positive. The important thing is to work on their own beliefs and make sure they adhere to the game project. They all work very hard, and I am satisfied that we don't play in Europe. It is an advantage. Surprised that you were chosen and not Blanc? I am surprised that when I first saw Sabatini he knew all about me and the way I work. I know for a fact that he followed me even before the league with Lille. I liked him because he is one of character, looks you in the eyes, puts you to the test. It took me less than half a day to realize that it takes character to coach Roma, but the thing I do not mind, is that it is a beautiful and exciting adventure that has enriched me
I got this from Chiesa Di Totti. http://www.canalplus.fr/c-sport/c-football/c-ligue-1/pid6219-canal-football-club.html?vid=929843 Nice video.
2008/2009 season => 3 victories in 12 games ! 2009/2010 season => 3 victories in 7 games ! Season 2010/2011 => 3 wins in 9 games ! Season 2011/2012 => 3 victories in 7 games ! Season 2012/2013 => 3 victories in 7 games ! Garcia => 3 victories in 3 games !
The more I read quotes from players on Garcia and how much things have changed during training, the more I like Garcia.
Especially the simple things that should be a no-brainer. There is a PK list. When Totti is on the field, he takes it. If not, Strootman takes it and so on. No argument on the pitch, no hurt feelings, just a list.
It's better to have a list. I remember one time I went to take a pk and I got called off it by a kid who had played for this travel team for a while. He missed it. I never forgave him
Prandelli had some nice words about Garcia: http://www.football-italia.net/39681/prandelli-garcia-innovative
I can't remember any of our coaches receiving that much hype and acceptance so early in his time with us. Not even Capello. Not taking anything from Garcia's impressive work so far, but I think both us and neutrals have learned to lower our expectations after the disastrous past few seasons.
