It's official it's on the teams website: http://www.cesabadell.cat/noticies2.asp?id=2870&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed: cesabadell-cat (CE Sabadell FC - Català)
Let's be honest, this is a good move for him. I think it's a bit premature to think he would break into Chelsea's squad. I remember staying in Sabadell, nice little suburb of Barcelona. Looking at Sabadell's squad, they have a few interesting players, Lanzarote is a decent forward, plus they just signed Fernando Llorente(not the one from Athletic Bilbao) and a Sub-20 Uruguay striker. Along with Anibal Zurdo and Davila that is a pretty strong attacking line.
Yeah it better not be like the Crystal Palace [Antonio Pedroza] or Guadalajara [Anibal Zurdo] games that were only showned when they played against the big fish like Depor La Coruña or West Ham in the second division last season.
I like this move. I have a very good friend that lives in Spain and he say's the team play's a Barca type style. Apparently the team's coach was a candidate to take over the Barca job.
Chivas > Segunda. Even before he signed with Chelsea, I felt he needed another year or two in Mexico. Hope he gets it together.
lol wow this is a horrible move.. is he that bad that they couldnt find him a single first division league to play in in europe.. hes not a kid anymore hes already 21
how is it bad, how are they going to find him a 1st division team if he hasn' t played 1st division even in mexico, you guys forget who he is and age.
No mames Spanish 2nd division??? WTF mejor se hubiera ido al Bolton eso le hubiera beneficiado mucho mas
lol a first division team? with what minutes last season to back him? he would probably be riding the bench there to.....It's a smart move if you ask me.
Here we go again with you fools enamored with being in Europe regardless of leagues Guardado left Atlas for Depor back when they were in primera, so your comparison is irrelevant. The only reason AG didn't leave when Depor sank is because he was picky with the offers they had received and he knew he'd be free to choose a team after the year. Lets take the Tri glasses off and realize these players might not always make the best decisions. Who knows, this might end up working out for him..I'll be more than happy to eat crow if it does. Still early, but pardon my lack of excitement at one of our prospects playing in a shitty league for a team who hasn't whiffed 1st division football in almost a quarter century. Chivas > this shit.
CE Sabadell finished 19th out of 22 teams in the Segunda division last year. Normally, the bottom four teams are relegated, but Sabadell was saved by the fact that Villarreal dropped to Segunda for the coming season. The reason for this being that a team cannot coexist in the same division as their filial (same reason that Barca B couldn't win promotion a few seasons back even though they finished in the top 3). As a result Villarreal B was relegated despite finishing 12th in the league. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011–12_Segunda_División#League_table There are a couple of ways of looking at this, one being that he'll get a lot of playing time and the other being that his teammates won't provide much help and he'll have to shoulder a lot of the offensive responsibilities (something which could hinder growth as much as it could accelerate it)-- although they did recently sign Mexi-Spaniard Anibal Zurdo, not that he's ever been a player that merits much excitement.
A move to the Spanish 2nd division is not a bad move He wasn't getting regular minutes in Holland so i don't know why anyone would expect him to start for a 1st division team. It's a good move to get him to a place were he can settle and get use to the European game. Now he can focus on playing and getting his level up in a place were he wont have to deal with the big culture shock that comes from playing in a different country and the demands of a 1st division club.
