Dunno about other nations, but that is one hell of a team. What are the chances against the others? How strong are they?

    subscribed.

We are certainly not the favourites. Would be happy if we reach the semi-final.

The only good thing about that team is the defense. The rest is a disaster waiting to happen.

On top of that, we are in a very difficult group and face arguably the best team in the tournament in the first game.

Everyone, lower your expectations right away.

Would not mind Hoffenheim's Beck to have an quick return. ;)

    Good luck though.

It's got some good names but I must agree now that I look at it again, it's heavily unbalanced.

    --------Dejagah---------
    -Marin----Ozil-----Ebert-
    ---Khedira--Castro------
    Boenisch--------Boateng
    ----Howedes-Hummels---
    ---------Neuer----------

This would be my team vs Spain. Boateng over Beck as we need to have a sound defense. In other games, I wouldn't mind Beck starting. I don't like if the personalitites come out here because if they play this formation, it's a sound formation. A good defensive midfielder (Castro) with a great 8 in Khedira, probably the best 8 this season in the league (?). The wings are settled, and Ozil can play very well in the middle. The striker is not a clinical finisher, but all the midfielders can score and he can play well with others. I won't expect most of the goals coming from our striker to be honst, though hopefully he can hit some. They need to play togetehr as a team. Errr I probably shouldn't get my hopes up, but lets wait and see how they do vs Spain before predicting failure! :(

Johnson, Ben-Hatira, Grote, Adlung n Ede?????

Why not Kevin Prince Boateng, Baumjohann n A.Hunt??

A.Hunt, though not that established yet, definitely has higher ceiling than Ede. The kid has great potential and very fast + skillful + versatile. He can play at LM, AM and FW, n i still remmeber his days of being Klose's partner and was a successful experiment at Werder Bremen. Though his natural position maybe at LW, he is still a better attacker than Ede or Grote.

Given the weak strikeforce, i m actually surprised that Horbesch didn't consider Schieber(Stuttgart) n Thomas Mueller (Bayern Munich) as options. They aren't included in U20 but both have shown promises in 3BL.

BTW, Sandro Wagner isn't as bad as some of u may have thought. He has a good season with Duisburg

As much as that formation makes sense, I guarantee we won't see that.

According to "BILD" the U21 tomorrow will begin with Özil and Dejagah in the front line, Wagnerinho on the bench. My expectations are extremely low, never liked this team. To much players who aren't really giving their best in the U21. We will see, if Hrubesch brought some spirit to this team in the last two weeks of preparation.

According to Süddeutsche, this will be our team:

    -----------------Neuer---------------------
    --Beck--Boateng---Höwedes---Boenisch
    -------------Aogo---Khedira--------------
    --Castro------------------------Marin-----
    ---------------Özil--------------------------
    ---------------------Dejagah---------------

Thats not as bad as I thought i would be, a lot more stable than other formations would be, that is if Hrubesch doesn't use the same shape that Loew uses. That could be a disaster which would allow Spain to pretty much run the game and make us chase it throughout.

    You're not the only one....:(

They won't. Sky is covering it though so there will plenty of streams available.

bojan is overrated. pato is worlds ahead of him.

btw: have to say, that the German looks like they have the better individual players. Hoewedes, Beck, Oezil, Marin, Aogo.
