I read it, and yeah that was some foul shit. You have to understand how distrought they must be and are looking for anyone or thing to vent out their frustration. It dosen't in ANY way excuse the crap they said and I understand and won't condemn those of us who talked smack right back at them, but we shouldn't go pressing them in the Holland board right after both their teams got eliminated and left them without a final.
All we'll do is make things worse by egging them on. But you guys have the right to speak for yourselves, whatever the context. So to Portugue man of war I understand where you and Ferreira are coming from and I'll only ask that you don't push the dutch, but from here that's all I'll do, ask. I won't tell you to stop you have yor reasons and they are valid.

The right team won, Alkmaar lost; and deservedly so; too ********ing bad.

If you can't admit or take defeat, go find a new sport.

It would've been a miracle if Sporting didn't win against possibly the crappiest team I've ever seen make it to a semi-final and simultaneously place ********ing well in the Dutch League.

Az Alkmaar are a joke of a club, in fact; you'd of thought it was a revamped version of the Italian squad from Euro 2004.

To the respectable fans, hey it hurts but sometimes you have to be truthful for some morons to understand.

Technically, Sporting lost but rules say they advance on away goals. Still doesn't take away from the drama of the whole match. If it were my team I'd take the result as well.

I haven't seen the game yet, but I've got it on tape. Any idea why Viana didn't play? I've read that a lot of the AZ players think Moutinho is Sporting's best player. Could he be a "Deco" in the making?

    The bitterness:

Co Adriaan-"The shoulder of god"-referring to Miguel Garcia's goal...

obviously forgetting that the shoulder is legal to use...

    CRY ME A RIVER!!!

Hey, now that I hope evreyone has calmed now lets talk about the game.
Sporting did what they needed to do, and took the game them. Right after on a sutpid corner AZ scored, this really killed the supporters dreams, but not the players. They kept pushing, and pushing and hadn't been for the ref's vision problems we should of had a PK. AZ also continued their counter attacks, and came close to finishing the game, on a free kick.

Sporting however didn't let anything bother them except #20, that should had at least yellow in the 1st half. With all the pressure a goal for Sporting was in due time, and it gladly came in the 1st half.

The second half was mostly Sportings, Peseiro delayed Barbosa coming on a little too long IMO. Polga has still proven he doesn't deserve a spot on the team unless someone is hurt. This for a player that has NT contentions. Barbosa coming on brought on a different team, more confident playing the ball on the ground, building their attacks well, and we had great chances to put them away. Unfortunately it didn't happen.

They got a lucky goal to go ahead, mistake by Tello at first, and the by our comical defense. But nothing was lost we were still in the match considering we were out playing them. This I think brought a lot of confidence to the team, eventhough Peseiro took out Douala too early for Tello.

Extra time time, again AZ scored early another mistake, all we needed now was a goal 10 minutes remaining.
The team continued pressuring and had many opportunities to score. Lady luck wasn't in our side so we had to do it with pure force.

Miguel Garcia IMO played the best game I've seen from him in a SCP uniform, came up with the winning goal someone had to. It's called destiny we had to win, Pure and Simple. We were the better team, and the better team deserved to move on.
