We struggle when we can't steal the ball before the half field. It's the same today. Wish we could step up the pressure higher up the field, but it's a two legged affair. Gotta be patient.
What happened to Adriano? Alves and Alba on at the same time is a little too adventurous in a game like this, even for you guys, no?
Back near the mid-season break I posted that I thought Tito had made a huge mistake pulling away from Pep's system of high pressure. To me, it was a mistake because it required more building out of the back on offense, which gave defenses more of a chance to get set, and because it put more pressure on our defense during a time when our defenders are getting old or not playing as well and our defensive depth is thin. I was taken to task by a few people here for this point-of-view -- "look at our goals-against numbers" -- but I think the games against the really hard teams -- LPB, elite teams in the CL -- have borne this out. We have put more load on our defense at a time when they don't seem up to the task, while we get fewer attacks on an unprepared opposing defense than we used to. Note that in one match in the Champions League, we went back to high pressure -- the follow-up match against Milan -- and look what we accomplished there. In particular, look at *how* our goals occurred.
Looks more like rust, hopefully its not a setback and he's able to make runs. In the second half. He looked better in the PSG game. And he's had plenty of rest since.
Losing 1-2 or stays at 0-1, we might have a chance in return leg but 2-0, dont think we will do it this time.
No I mean his hamstering in injury as the commentator mention which is why he prefer to pass it most of the time.
I'd go as far as saying that Iniesta has been sloppy, has has lost the ball at least twice and gave them the chance to counter attack.
Ive always though it was a thigh injury. Am i missing something... if its a hamstring injury why is he playing?
