I expected as much, particularly the latter.

    ------------------Reina-------------------
    Wisdom-----Carra---Coates-----Enrique
    ------Henderson----Sahin-------
    ------------------Allen---------------
    Suso----------Sterling -------------Assaidi

maybe flip Assaidi and Sterling, and possibly also play Glen at LB, move Enrique up, drop Sterling to the bench, and play Assaidi as a central striker.

Suso hasn't played in a while, so I hope we see him get the start. Sterling has been playing a ton recently, so I'd keep him on the bench. Wisdom needs game time after that short setback. Shelvey played on the weekend and will probably have to play CF west ham so I'd keep him as a sub and go with:

    Reina
    Wisdom Skrtel Coates Johnson
    Henderson Sahin
    Suso
    Assaidi Suarez Enrique
Jones, Carragher, Downing, Allen, Shelvey, Sterling, Cole

Think Suarez is certain to start, as well as Johnson. No reason to take Johnson if he isn't playing and Suarez is out for Sunday, so no need to rest.

Think we'll go with a strong line up to ensure the win.

Suarez is 100% gonna play though since he's suspended for West Ham.

This looks about right -- and it's what id play -- but I think rodgers will play carra instead Coates and cole for assaidi. I just hope we can see Suso in the CAM position and not stuck out out wide.

D'oh!! Totally forgot he has to play this game.

Suarez to start flanked by Suso and Assaidi.

Enrique to the bench or left back? Agree probably a good game for Suso, but I have this feeling Enrique only has so many goo games in him so we might as well ride the horse til it kicks us off.

I disagree. I think he's re-invented himself under BR, and he's proven in the past for Newcastle, and from the first half of last year's season for us that he's a quality player. I think a few key things to remember about him is how there was no cover for him last year...he had to play 90 minutes every game and was burned out by January, and even though he seemed to have lost all that creativity and was a nuisance in the attack, his defending didn't suffer to the same extent. I think he was statistically still the best defensive LB in the EPL last year. As for the start of this year, it's become common knowledge that we was suffering from a knee issue, and of course he never really got a good string of games under BR until now to build on and to get a consistent run of form going. We also have Johnson, who's become comfortable at LB, and Robinson has proven effective when played. So overuse shouldn't be as big a problem this year.

By no means do I think he's world class or anything, nor should he play every single game, but he's versatile, can play anywhere on the left hand side of the pitch, and can adjust to play however BR wants him too. If BR wants Jose to stay back and play the top quality defence he often does then he will, and if BR wants him to push forward and do what we have seen he's capable of in the attack, then he'll do that too. That type of player is needed on any English team with Champions League ambitions, and if he sticks around long enough until we're back in the CL, we'll all be glad that he'll be in the squad.

Same story here. I think we're going to win today, but I'm feeling like a 0-0 @ West Ham would be fantastic.
