UCF is hosting one of the early regionals for the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Tournament. UCF will play USF on Thursday, November 18, at 5pm EST. The winner will then play #10 Michigan at 2pm on Sunday, November 21. Unless I announce different (I got this news from NCAA.com, not UCF Athletics site), assume it will be at UCF Track and Soccer Complex. EDIT: I have ticket info. $8 for adults, $5 for youth, seniors 55+, and college students with ID. Under 2 are free.
Our weekend just got busier. The Rollins men's soccer team is in the D-II Elite Eight. They host Clayton State on Saturday night.
Had a lazy Sunday yesterday. After reading about the game, kind of wish I would have gone. I'll be out of town for the Elite Eight match
Off the board, but I'm tired of people complaining about UCF's attendance. We pulled 7600 for the basketball game, which is the fourth-best attendance ever. We got over 40,000 for the football home finale against Southern Miss.
Well how many can UCF fit in the soccer field? Sounds to me like it was a sell out. Go UCF, beat Michigan!
The official attendance was 529, with several hundred UCF and USF fans who were too cheap to buy tickets watching from the parking garage overlooking the south goal. Felt like it was over 1,000 to me. The actual permanent stands there hold 500, and they set up several sets of temporary bleachers.
