I like it! Well done, great improvements. I still think it would be cool to have some Portuguese on it somewhere. Also, although I am retired Navy (30 years active/reserve) and love the John Paul Jones reference, I've always liked the "Don't Tread On Me" quote. It's fantastic now though and I'm sure whatever you settle on, I'm going to get one. Very nice work.

I saw that you changed the "Copa do Mundo Brasil 2014" on the first scarf I think for copyright reasons? I guess that's why you're using "WC"? If so, it's too bad you can't use "Copa do Mundo Brasil 2014"...that would add the Portuguese and is understandable by non-Portuguese speakers.

You know, I think I can use "Copa do Mundo Brasil 2014." Let me tweak the design one more time.

Just a thought, the entire first line is in Portuguese except for the countries. Maybe change it to “Alemanha, EUA, Gana e Portugal?”

I like that too. Even though I don't associate EUA = USA, it says "UNITED STATES" in huge letters just below that so it works.

Anyone know what "Honor Old Heroes, Create New Ones" would translate to in Portuguese?

Also, as I was typing that I was just thinking, I think "Honor Past Heroes" sounds better than "Honor Old Heroes". Granted the players from 1950 that are still with us would be old...but "past" seems like a better word.

I know at least 5 or 6 people that would love to buy this scarf. You mentioned March for preorders, any specific date because I missed out on the first run of Brazil 2014 and don't want to be left out when these go on sale?

    Final design is below:

Had to make some compromises but I'm pretty happy overall.

    Now accepting preorders here: http://whitneyimages.net/soccer-scarves/

PayPal button and details are at the bottom of the page. I'm only having 50 of these scarves made so it really is exclusive: first-come, first-served.

Pretty sweet but is it just me or does it read "copo do mundo" instead of "copA do mundo"? Is it a copyright thing?

I'm kicking myself for missing the first design, but I have at least one of your scarves from the last two world cups and the 05 Mexico match. Great work as always, Magpie!

Not that this guy needs more testimonials but we just got the shipment from the first edition and my girlfriend loves it.

Thanks for getting her more excited for the Cup!

Got mine last night and they're fantastic as always. I should also say that Evan also designed our AODC scarf, which is now available for preorder as part of our new World Cup merchandise package or as a separate purchase. We're thankful that you live in DC now!
