Looks like RW cleared the bench and, yep, Avilez got the the start. Any idea why he was subbed in the final minute? (These are 80-minute games.)

From the highlights, it appears Avilez took a knock on the Scotland goal in the 78th minute. They probably pulled him to be cautious.

Sometimes luck plays a big part on identification. If the right person is in charge then the Peps of the world will be noticed but put the wrong person and a whole lot is missed and only God knows how many have been thrown by the wayside because of inept coaches. Rijkaard wanted Messi to be brought up to the first team and his assistants thought Messi wasn't ready because he needed to change some playing habits. We are all glad Mr. Rijkaard didn't listen to those dunderheads.

I had a nightmare last night which was the U.S. tied at 0-0 till a Turkish player was brought down for a 90' PK.

Various reliable sources on Twitter say we won 2-1.

That composure on the Gallardo goal was Aguero-like

    Haji is on crutches! WHY?!?!?!

From the video of the game, it looks like a left knee injury. He came out in the 70th minute. Hopefully its not too serious.

Looks like Haji was subbed in the 70th. Do they ever post the full match online?

Love the boys chanting "I believe that we just won" at the end.

Good to see that Wright can finish with both feet

Looks like he was injured later in the game.

What a joke. Not only the goals, but the absolute SITTER missed by Ukraine on top of all that. Good gracious.

Seems like Wright might be ok according to his twitter. I don't know how to embed a tweet here, but here is the link to his account:
