Good Point, but right now they are trying to slice and dice a first team roster into all these sub categories. Its not like they aren't paying these guys. Its like a shell game, DP cap hits, HG cap hits, allocation money. Its funny money. Make a 30 1st team cap with actual dollars and up to a 10 man developmental roster able to play for 1st team AND USL Pro developmental team. Only able to cut them if they finish their developmental contract to encourage signing actual top prospects and they only count toward the actual cap when they actually are on the first team. MLS makes everything so complicated and ultimately it hurts development. With all the schedule congestion they are being judged to be able to contribute as a 1st team member which is unfair to the developing young professionals learning the game. There needs to be separation.

We don't need athletes. We need small slow unathetic ball wizards. Anyone who are big and can run are what we're trying to get away from, even if their good on the ball.

Well, the last U17 class was pretty weak, and the best players from that class weren't there, so I would be more worried if they hadn't outplayed the U18s than impressed that they did.

Meanwhile, Scotland tied France 1-1. France's run of five straight Aegean Cup titles is over, and barring a very strange last day, the US will play in the final.

Current standings in the other group after two matches:

    TakımlarOGBMAYP
    1.TÜRKİYE
    2110824
    2.UKRAYNA
    2020112
    3.YUNANİSTAN
    2020002
    4.AZERBAYCAN
    2011171

    http://www.tff.org/default.aspx?pageID=1254

"YUNANİSTAN" is Greece, Turkey's match 3 opponent. So I guess the group is still pretty open.

They'll probably be up by the end of the day, similar to yesterday's match.

The most impressive thing about these two victories is that (based on nothing but the names of the goalscorers, of course) it sounds as if there's been serious squad rotation. The depth with this group seems pretty solid.

An own goal for the U17 #USMNT has now been awarded to Alexis Velela. That is also Velela's first international goal at the U-17 level!

I like that USA seems to translate to ABD for the Turks.

That was Haji Wright. His size, speed, athleticism and skill really is remarkable.

The Norway release says we are in the final regardless of the Scotland result.

Avilez seems to be the only guy yet to play -- not shocking for a GK playing up, though maybe he'll get his chance in a "gimme" game against the Scots.

Love the way the crowd noise plays in slow motion during the slow-motion replays. Sounds like somebody is sitting on a Fisher-Price record player.

No Barbir, Silva, Perez, Zendejas,Braima. Playing Taitague up a year. Rotating players, playing new ones. I also heard they are interested in playing Gonzalez and Carranza up too. I thought McCabe and Nelson were some of our weaker players so looking to see what depth we have for them.

I wasn't even really considering the players we were without, because they won't be able to play in the U17 World Cup qualifiers anyway.
